An ingredient that can most likely be found in your pantry is blackstrap molasses, which is a thick, dark syrup. It is made when sugar cane plants are processed to make sugar. Even though the refined sugar is largely considered unhealthy, the thick, syrup of molasses holds minerals and nutrients that are absorbed by the plant. These minerals and nutrients include: Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Manganese, Vitamin B6, Copper and Selenium. Molasses also has no fat, cholesterol and barely any sodium. Therefore, it can be consumed by a diabetic person. It is important to consume this product in moderation, so therefore no more than one tablespoon per day.
Here are the top 10 health benefits of blackstrap molasses:
1. Prevents Anemia
Blackstrap molasses is a great source of iron and therefore can be essential to someone who has iron-deficiency anemia. Since it is a good source of iron, it helps your body to create more red blood cells, which carry oxygen from your lungs to the rest of your body.
2. Reduces Menstrual Problems
Blackstrap molasses contains certain minerals, such as Magnesium and Calcium, that can help relieve menstrual cramps. It can also help your body to maintain healthy muscles in your uterus.
3. Cures Constipation and Improves Other Digestive Problems
Blackstrap molasses is a natural laxative which can soften your stool. It can help to relieve constipation and make your bowels more regular. This is due to the high Magnesium content in the molasses that helps to relax your muscles and bring water into your stool, which makes it naturally easier to pass.
4. Improves Heart Health
Blackstrap molasses can even help to control heart related issues, such as palpitations, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and more. This is because the molasses is high in Potassium, Iron, Calcium and Magnesium. All of these nutrients help to prevent your body from experiencing deficiencies that can cause heart palpitations.
5. Combats Stress
A common vitamin that is recommended by health experts to improve your mood and ease the effects of stress is Vitamin B. This vitamin is found in blackstrap molasses and therefore can help your brain and nervous system to function properly. It can also help you to feel relaxed, fight stress and fight fatigue.
6. Prevents Cancer
It is also believed that blackstrap molasses can also be used to prevent and treat certain types of cancer. This is because the molasses contains Selenium, which helps your cells to defend themselves against cancerous cells.
7. Increases Stamina and Energy
Blackstrap molasses can also help to give you more stamina and energy. Since it is made from sugar, it offers a temporary energy boost when it provides your body with carbohydrates that are converted into energy in your body.
8. Maintains Strong Muscles and Bones
Blackstrap molasses also is high in Calcium, which helps your body to strengthen your bones. One tablespoon of the molasses can provide your body with over ten percent of your daily value of Calcium.
9. Improves Sleep
Blackstrap molasses can even help to cure insomnia, since it is high in Calcium. Calcium can help your body to produce melatonin, which helps your body to feel tired. The Magnesium in the molasses is also a natural nutrient that helps your body to feel tired.
10. Maintains Hair Health
Consuming blackstrap molasses on a daily basis can even improve your hair health, your hair growth and your hair color. Along with consuming blackstrap molasses, you can apply it directly to your hair.
Mix 1 tablespoon of blackstrap molasses in 1 cup of lukewarm water.
Apply it on your hair and scalp and let it sit for 15 minutes.

I took two tablespoons at night and three or four hours later I couldn't stay awake.. I just bought it at the grocery store but waiting on organic from Amazon. I've heard about all the great benefits. I got it especially because they say it gets rid of fibroid when Combined with beet juice
Eat this stuff straight off the spoon, my great grammy used to make us all eat it when we were young. I wish I could tell her as an adult all the holistic things she did to us and for us were just that. Love you grammy!!
Hi my name is Kimberlee. On May 13 I had stomach surgery. I started taking back strap molasses and organic raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar two weeks before the surgery. The hospital gave me a medication oral Fedenal (?) for pain. My right side had no feeling. I was complaining. I did not want a stroke. I am a single mom. I rubbed my side for a couple of hours and the feeling in my right side came back.I do believe that taking the back strap molasses and the vinegar was able to fight off the medicine in the hospital. I am very grateful that I did not have a stroke and I am starting to feel better.
my family was poor when we were young bsm was a treat and we put it on a saucer and used bread to wipe saucer and eat it. never knew it was good for me. mom used it to make homemade baked beans, i will have to buy some more and put it in my coffee.
I've used Black Strap Molasses in my Apple Cider Vinegar and I'm amazed how much of energy boost I get. Now that I know it helps with anemia & blood clots. I'm going to add it as a major Superfood in my diet. I was thinking it was just a basic sugar product & I had NO idea how much. minerals & nutrients molasses has. WOW! ❤
life is beautiful enjoy it That is refined sugar that is bad for your health, same as carbohydrates, oils but natural/ organic foods are great for you as long as you consume in reasonable quantity, hence the 1table spoon is loaded with essential nutrient our body needs. Carrot, apples, are some of good that contain sugar but very beneficial for us. BSM is good!
Organic, is natural..... sugar from the store.... there is a man made processing of the sugar product before it gets to the store. blackstrap unsulphur is raw, pure from the sugar cane itself. In the raw state it is a natural healer.

I used to take blackstrap molasses many years ago. Now I have a few problems that you talk about on this video and I'm going to begin taking it once again. I have always loved the taste of molasses, even blackstrap. I like that I can add organic honey when I take it so it will be even better tasting. Thank you for your website. I want to learn more from your site as you post.
Ummm I’m confused...I thought silver was extremely helpful, and beneficial to our overall health and well being! I know aluminum is bad, lead mercury of course too much copper is also possibly bad from what I hear...but silver???
I HAVE NEVER EVER HEARD OF IT BEING A HARMFUL CONTAMINANT???
leefongchew phatlee are you consuming it or ingesting it? Also how much and how often please??? Thank you for your time and for the information! Oh yeah how soon did you start to see results? Thanks again!
JB40 that’s what I was wondering too, I was under the impression that silver was almost a cure all!!?? So I’m a bit confused now, although this is the first I have ever heard of silver being a harmful contaminate?!
I'm taking an ACE inhibitor (20 mg/twice daily) to treat high blood pressure. This medication is known to raise potassium levels. If my potassium level exceeds 5.5 millimoles per liter of blood, then I would run the risk of a potassium buildup (i.e., normal range is 3.2 to 5.2 mmol/L); my last blood test showed a reading of 4.6 mmol/L.
According to the nutrition label, taking one tablespoon of Blackstrap Molasses would provide a potassium daily value of 20 percent, based on a 2,000 calorie diet.
Is it safe for me to take one TSP of Blackstrap Molasses on a daily basis?
Should I have my potassium level tested on a regular basis?
A chemist one told me that the lady on the internet who used silver nose drops and turned blue was lucky she didn't die because what she was using was "metallic" silver -- very different from colloidal silver.
