Good job in tying threads, it completely secures the seam. There's a chance of breaking the first row of stitches when backstitching over the threads as well as eventually unraveling left loose - its like walking w/untied shoelaces.
From the inside, pull the thread backward to bring the bobbin thread up - you should see a loop - gently pull the looped bobbin thread all the way out with a seam ripper to the inside than tie the threads twice & snip remaining long threads ...
I love your tutorial. I see how beginners can be frustrated but I LOVE the fact that you left out all the parts sewers already know how to do. Short and to the point. I just subscribed to your channel. Thanks I'll be checking out more of your videos. Gale
I really loved the design of the pants but as a beginner there were some specific instructions tht were not done in the video tht i would and i believe others like myself would have benefited from. eg is the way to cut the waist band and so on....
these pants are so expensive in the store so i wanted to make some. i am a quilter not a seamstress but you made this look easy. i will get the pattern. thank you soo much. your tutorial was great by the way
Would have thumbs uped the video except for the lack of details (e.g. Zipper insertion and waistband assembly from beginning to end). The zipper insertion should have been done in this video or a separate video should have been already available for reference, as this is one element of sewing confusing for new sewers...
Thank you for the feedback. However, this isn't exactly a step-by-step tutorial on sewing the pants. I did not add every single detail because those details are already in the instructions that come with the pattern. As far as the zipper tutorial goes, that will be available soon. I'e had other requests from my viewers that I wanted to make happen for them. This video is just a reference to get you started as you will still need to follow the instructions on the sheet provided in the pattern.
Thanks for posting this! I purchased this pattern a while ago and kind of messed up the first pair. I will definitely be on the lookout for some cute fabric to try again. I'm so excited I may go out tomorrow.
The total cost for these pants if you make them yourself is about $10. You can't find these pants in the store for that price! Also, it's an even better deal because it's CUSTOM MADE! You should give it try. It's easier than you think since you have this video to walk you through. :)
