Thanks again for watching!
I've had this cut before and loved it. I now live in a small town and I can't pay to get a decent hair cut... I just got a horrible cut and have short hair in back and long hair in front and my hair is SUPER THICK... NOT GOOD and it definitely NOT LAYERS. I am going to do this cut on myself... Wish me luck! My hair is super thick so I am going to need it.
Im not a stylist, however....I have been a broke student during nursing school and I needed to learn to cut my own hair. I always watched intently when I could afford one, so when I tried it...IT WORKED! And...this IS the perfect haircut and exactly how I cut it !. So, thanks for confirming both! I did subscribe to find out what else I can learn! Great tutorial ! :)
as you said,...the perfect hair cut!, and you proved whatIve always said, you dont have to cut them bald to get a style! you cut very minimal hair, but achieved very optimal style!, 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up, and a curl around a world lol
I’ve actually found the layered style that I have always wanted , my hair dresser combs my hair as well as using straighteners at the same time ,puts a few layers in , but one side always looks longer when get home washed it the next time and dried my hair one side ends up sticking out and I dosn’t grow out nicely, I’ve been told one side is alway going to longer because I have a side parting ,sure that’s not right .the shorter part is on the side of my head when you do the length test round be the ears side ,my hair is sitting by my shoulders slightly longer on the back , and definitely can’t sweep the side like your model .can any one tell me if this is right or wrong pls thnx
This is the hair cut I have wanted for sooo long but I can NEVER find anyone who can do it like that! I am so sick of getting my hair butchered. I have a bob now and I don't like it. I had to get a bob though because someone gave me horrific "layers" that looked like stair steps on my head. They wouldn't give me a refund either. They said all they could do was look at it and redo it for me for free, but I am not gonna let them NEAR my hair again! Their blow dry technique was to scrub my scalp and yank from my roots and didn't even use a curling brush or even a regular brush until my hair was almost totally dry. Then they cooked my hair with a curling iron and the hair wouldn't curl or lay right because the layers were so chopped and deep. It was honestly a horrifying experience and I have had multiple experiences like that at several salons and I just have no trust anymore. Some even came highly recommended too. So frustrating.
That is what want to be done in my hair, but every time I try , I get disappointed. I wish hair dreesers took the time to polish their skills not just increase prices for the same awful services. Good for you!! Thank you.
Ok this is a great video! Very helpful! But , just wondering after you go an inch or so down from your guide on your right side, and pull straight up and cut across according to your guide, do you do the same thing to the left side then before you go through the whole back and make everything come together nicely?? I'm assuming yes, but I am no professional hair stylist and would like to cut my little girl's hair like this and want to make sure I have it all correct before I attempt it. ;)
When showing cutting techniques why do the presenter never show how to cut on the left side of the head, which is the most difficult side to cut, due to the position on which the stylist needs to place their body when cutting. This is a great video for those who want to become more proficient in haircutting but I really would like to see how you hold your hand to make the left side look like the right side.
Every time I go somewhere to get my hair cut they butcher it so I just started cutting my own hair a couple years ago. The downside is that it takes me forever to get it done but at least I know my layers are right!
You are brilliant!! I have been a hairdresser for 48 years, still working!! I watch all the hairdressers on "YouTube" but I always come back to you, you are the best one, in my eyes, you explain everything so well, with a little humor,!! I wish you were here in England, I would make an appointment with you , my daughter is a hairdresser, I must show her this cut, to copy, although, she's a very good cutter, my hair always looks nice when she cuts it, you are an amazing hairdresser!! Xx
Question,I notice you don’t do a lot of point cutting. How do I get the stylist to NOT point cut my hair? I love this hair cut but in my area it would end up with the ends shredded from the point cut trend. I actually just cancelled my hair appointment for today because I’m so frustrated.
Thanks. You really locked it in when you said to let the hair speak to you. As a newby, i want to neaten up my six year old's hair but need some guidance like you offer here. You did this in Twenty minutes, so i better prepare to devote at least three times that amount of time into the project. But i am now confident that after an hour's work, i won't end up regretting it.
I would love this hair cut,,,,I can't find any hairdresser to cut my hair like I want, they don't listen, so I cut my own,,, long layers. it looks great..... It takes yrs of practice.... I'm a hairdresser also,,,,, listen,, give them the hair cut they ask for,,,, respect,,,,, don't play a game with your clients..... great video...
Would this hair cut work for someone with thin hair? I have thin hair, and I usually just dye my hair but I'm bored with it and want a hair style, I've only been to salon once when I was 18, I'm now almost 30 so I don't even know where to begin, maybe I can show them this video
Is this one of for fine hair? I wanna see it not flipped in back. I cant bother with all the styling. Im not skilled in drying and brushing at same time lol. I like blunt and keeping my weight at bottom.
I know this is late but I'm looking into going into cosmetology when I'm old enough and I was wondering where you got your mannequin? I want to practice and need a cheap but good mannequin. Any suggestions?
Not gonna lie, i reckon i could knock one of these out pretty easy. I cut my girlfriends hair last night, never cut hair before or watched any video how to's, but turned out pretty damn good. I'm a bricklayer, i've got a good eye for level, lines etc
