If you decided to cut your own lob you will need the following:
• Scissors – You don’t need proper hairdressing scissors, but something fairly small and sharp enough to cut hair is good. Find some here http://amzn.to/2BAXXcz
• Comb – With fairly fine teeth. A tail comb can be handy for sectioning but it’s not a big deal if you don’t have one http://amzn.to/2Fs6VLF
• Water Spray – It’s easier to cut hair wet. To keep it that way you need water. Try a spray bottle http://amzn.to/2DTaRrI
• Hairdryer & Round brush – for drying and styling your hair afterwards http://amzn.to/2BByUpA & http://amzn.to/2DL6OdK

Most hairdressers suck .. they cut everyone’s hair the same .. the good ones you see on you tube videoes are not near where I live ... good hairdressers consider everything personalized for the person .. not the same cut for everyone .. I too am learning a great deal from these women .. I’ll never go to a hairdresser again .. they need better education .. thanks for this video !!!
When did "point cutting" become the equivalent of "chopping upwards" with absolutely no technique whatsoever? Seems like a few youtubers decided to mimic what they'd seen a stylist do, and now it's the "this will fix everything remedy". Not such a great idea, ladies.
That "dope" seems easy b-but -but.. My hair is fking long till reaching my butt loh.. And I can't even confident to cut by myself and I don't even hv a lot of money to go to saloon (ಥ_ಥ) as its very expensive here.
Dnt think u should cut it when wet especially when doing it urself cuz u can go alil too crazy n end up with hair shorter than u wanted! But its the same at the salon every time they cut my hair wet they go nuts n I end up with a Bob when I wanted a trim! Haha
Why not go to a proper hair stylist? I ve been there too and it was difficult, I always end up going to a hair dresser when I saw my hair was already in mess! I learned to cut mine after many bad hair attemps. Still not that satisfied. Don't destroy your hair because other shows they can do it to themselves.... ❤❤❤
I can honestly say I've been more impressed cutting my own hair than going to a salon! They always mess it up! Either come out with it 50% shorter than I asked for or come out looking like I did before I went! Lol so I gave up! Same with coloring too my box dyes have come out better than the salons! 🙈😂
Please tell me......what is a "proper hairstylist"?? I've never met one. These IDIOT "hair stylists" NEVER DO WHAT YOU ASK THEM ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked for a one length blunt cut, showed her CLEAR pictures of the front and back of an ALL ONE LENGTH COLLAR BONE LENGTH BLUNT CUT and this narcissistic IDIOT cut the front blunt (where I was looking) and chopped 3" LAYERS IN THE BACK so it's like 2 separated hairstyles on one head and not only that but the stupid (covertly malicious) moron cut off 3" MORE than asked for so, here I am 5 months later (my hair grows painfully slow) and it's just now reaching the length I asked for in the beginning except for the 3" shorter layers in back. I suppose if I had asked for layers the stupid fool would've gave me a blunt cut (who knows though, I might've gotten a pixie cut or a mullet!). Last time I asked for angled layers around my face and a few long layers in back I walked out of that particular salon looking like Keith Partridge of the 60s Partridge Family show. BEWARE OF HAIR STYLISTS PEOPLE! They don't like being told what to do by their PAYING CLIENTS and will do the OPPOSITE just for SPITE and still expect you to pay them. I've been to a dozen different ones mostly women and 2 men in the past decade and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM HAS EITHER MESSED UP MY HAIR BY CUTTING IT WRONG AND CUTTING OFF TOO MUCH AND NOT DOING WHAT I ASKED OR FRIED IT WITH COLOR!! EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. THEM. I asked one of these retards for ombre and I left the salon looking like Morticia Adams. My hair later broke off and I had to cut it short after growing it out for 2 years. Took another 2 years to recover from that fiasco. And that lady was the owner of a ritzy spa and salon with 30 years experience. Go figure! The 2 men did the least amount of scewups but even they did not cut it like I wanted it. Every time I went to one of these "stylists" I looked WAY BETTER when I walked in than when I walked out. I don't know what they are teaching them in cosmetology schools nowadays but from what I can see they aren't teaching them ANYTHING except how to be an asshole. They could pull homeless people off the streets and give them a pair of scissors and a bottle of developer and they would do a BETTER JOB! I can cut hair better (and color better) than ANY of these idiots in my area. Evidently, only the celebrity types get good hair stylists nowadays. Which is why i'm on YouTube watching DIY cut and color tutorials. I will never again allow one of these IMBECILES to touch my hair. Never. Again. I'm sure there are still a few good ones out there but I've had 10 out of 10 bad odds so far. My hair grows too slow to take the "hair stylist" gamble again. I think I'd have better chances of winning the Power Ball Lottery than to get a hair stylist who will do what I ask and do it with accuracy. I've spent the last decade of my life waiting for bad cuts/botched color to grow out because of proud, incompetent fools End of rant.
First One: Super uneven, not sure if she did that on purpose. Second One: Couldn't really see what she was doing with that weird mirror angle. Third One: Could have textured it more, but maybe she was going for a subtle look. Fourth One: Really cute in the front, but I would have liked to see the back after it was all dry and styled. Fifth One: I feel like a lot of the steps she took were cut from the video. It's not that easy to cut your own hair. Sixth One: I'm just confused by the whole thing. Seventh One: Loved her hair before she cut it, but the after is really cute too! I'm wondering if she is a Cosmetologist, she was really using those cutting angles.
