I like a lot of misslers teachings ,but his explanations and many other's seem to complicate what seems pretty clear to me in reading/ studying the word what was revealed to me in reading this passage .is when denying the holy spirit that's the point were you are totally lost no longer do you have the holy spirit's counsel, it's not so much that God can't forgive but that because of your own denials you are unreachable. It's all about SELF!!! self centered ,selfish .in the same vein as the reprobate, sociopaths, narcissist, no love in them!!!!
Spoken like a true Free Will Advocate. This whole argument for his version of the unpardonable sin presupposes Free Will. Yet practically in every presentation he makes he makes it a point to say that they are there by God's Divine appointment. The Lord determines people steps that he will have mercy on whom he will have mercy on whom he Wills he hardens then he turns around and tries to have the most fundamental Freewill explanation of the important bowls in I've ever heard. It's not a spoken blasphemy as written in the text but rather he tries to use his own reason and understanding sense the unpardonable sin doesn't make sense to him and so tries to turn it into rejecting Christ
Because the holy spirit is of the spirit person essence of God the Father and God the father is greater than all as Jesus says. All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men but blasphemy of the Holy Spirit has never forgiveness. He who speaks a word against the Holy Spirit has never forgiveness. This is plain how in the world do you twist it as some unique saying to only those specific people Jesus spoke to? Furthermore how does it not become a law that everyone doesn't violate? Sin is the transgression of the law the strength of sin is the law. All we need to do is create one that is an ultimate one and people will be drawn to it to violate it in their hearts if not with their mouth. We know from The Sermon on the Mount that just to think a thought or have something in your heart is enough. How does that not become an ultimate law and subsequently something that we all could not help to break?
Those that attribute speaking in unknown tongues as a gift from The Holy Spirit may indeed be commiting blasphemy. They are the tongues of demons and not of God. It has been made quite clear throughout scripture, it MUST edify God by those present that interpret. The Holy Spirit can nit edify Jesus if you do not know what is being said.
I don't know, but the way I see it is, "that any sin of man maybe forgiven" (which seems to let us off the hook) "but he that speaks against the Holy Spirit shall never be forgiven" - perhaps refers to Satan speaking that blasphemy thru people he possesses and he gets zapped for it. Alternatively, one could focus on the use of the word "he". As part of the body of the bride of Christ, you are legally (but not biologically) a woman. Just my guesses.
Thank you Chuck Missler I will miss you and I'm glad we have your videos on YouTube and you're teaching. One scripture that I always go to is in John when Jesus said speaking of righteousness in and judgment judgement because of unbelief. I think that's in John 6. The only sin that can't be forgiven is unbelief because if you are in unbelief you die in your sins
You can ask for anything you want to in prayer. You may not receive the answer you are looking for but you can certainly ask. What would be beneficial, in my opinion, would be to lay all of your troubles out in front of Him. He knows whats going on in your life, trust in Him to help you forgive others and accept the forgiveness He offers you.
I was thinking suicide was an act of self righteousness which is contrary to jehovah tseekednu the lord our righteousness . Peace internally is gods gift to those who believed. Judas was forgiven until his self righteousness kicked in and now he is call the son of perdition. I know the thoughts I have toward you thoughts of peace and an expected end. Jeremiah 29.11 this would insinuate god orchestrated your suicide
"hour of temptation" Rev.3:10.
Mark 13:11 “But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.”
Note: "in that hour" = hour of temptation = Daniel's 70th week. Shortened from 7 years to a period of 5 months(Mark 13:20; Matthew 24:22; Rev. 9:5; Rev 9:10) for the church = 10 days for each individual(Rev.2:10) that was "elected" for this very reason.
if you refuse to let the Holy Spirit speak through you in "That Hour" which is the "Hour of Temptation"
you have committed the unpardonable sin.
Huh? Is there really a so-called unpardonable/unforgivable sin that is greater than Christ finished work (John 19:30)? When sin abounds, God's grace abounds more [than that] (Romans 5:20)..Please visit this Facebook Timeline to read/learn/share/debate:

An interesting part of this same Scripture (Matthew 12: 32), Jesus says, "Whoever speaks against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come". As an aside, this seems to imply forgiveness is available after death. This Scripture also seems to be more inclusive than what Chuck is saying. I have heard more than one preacher state from the pulpit, "Speaking in tongues is of the devil." I would assume those preachers consider themselves saved. I would also think this statement would qualify for the unpardonable sin. The 1st century church of Acts considered the baptism of the Holy Spirit to be a requirement. They returned to saved communities and insured they received the Holy Spirit. This, I believe, insured they did not commit this sin. To "soft pedal" sin is dangerous, especially where this is concerned.
so a true Christian means they have died. who ever they were in this life. that person died and all the things they done, ways they acted, thoughts everything all dies, and you become a new creature and a slave to God, and they live a new life for Jesus Christ
that is talking about those who claim to be Christians even by good and even godly deeds, but by their works they live in their sin and that is not a true Christian.
but a true Christian just like 2 Corinthians 5:17 says all that is in christ is a new creature, old has died, al becomes new.
Thank GOD...I wish my daughter Riki would watch this and believe it! I have stayed up all night and day saying "I'm saved through the blood of JESUS CHRIST!" to prevent me from committing the "Unpardonable Sin"
My poor mixed up daughter Riki believes she's done it and thinks GOD hates her. It is so sad too, she used to be a born again baptized Christian and wanted to be a New Testament Scholar. But now she says every time she tries to pray to GOD, He tells her to shut up and calls her such filthy names, that GOD wouldn't even call the devil. I am so sad for my daughter Riki, please pray for her.
I need a real exorcist!
Sandy, I'm going to be Praying for you and your family (daughter). Recently I was making conversation with some non Believers, I was sharing the Gospel, as well as many extrodinary parts of Prophecy that have come into Fruition.
I agreed with a person who had made another comment on the site. Over The next 36 hours I was attacked by the person I had agreed with.
I remained as calm as possible, shared scripture. The attack continued. No matter what I said, what scripture I shared the person, (they wouldn't share their real name, he or she used a "claim to be the truth name") they continued to tell me with acidic hatred I was not part of the Body.
It suddenly occurred to me that I was literally UNDER ATTACK BY the accuser.
I have been Forgiven, things that most people don't forgive (society). Praise GOD!
The last thing I told the accuser was, I am a sinner Saved by Y'SHUA Jesus.
I'm praying for you and your Family, your Daughter.
Our FATHER disciplines us.
HE doesn't speak to us as the world speaks. Your friend Christopher
Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Amen, if you die without trusting Jesus, and Jesus alone as your savior. Then you will die in your sins, and you will pay for them for all eternity. Simple as that. There are so many examples in God's word of people that did horrible things, but they are in heaven right now, and will be there forever because they trusted in Jesus. But don't think for one moment that if you don't trust Jesus for your salvation that you will be with God in heaven. If you don't believe the record that God gave of His only begotten Son Lord Jesus Christ, and the record Christ gave of Himself. Then you are calling God a liar, and saying Jesus died for nothing. If you do this you will pay for your sins. Jesus did not die for nothing He died for you, and for me. He died for the sins of the whole world. He died through the shedding of blood on the cross. The Father raised Jesus from the dead 3 days later through the power of the Holy Spirit because He accepted His sacrifice as payment in full for our sins. All you have to do to be saved is confess Jesus is Lord, and believe that God raised Him from the dead simple as that. Just believe! Once you make this decision you are given the Holy Spirit He lives with you, and in you. You are a child of God now because you are in Christ. God will change your life. He will sanctify you. The deeper your revelation of God, and His love for you the more you will do the things that please Him not to gain anything from Him but out of a heart of love, and thankfulness. Praise God for the unspeakable gift of His Son!!!!
Malcolm Taylor: I say that you have laid the "gospel" out clearly and my hope is that some needy soul will trust Christ as Lord and Savior and live a life pleasing to God and be a witness for him as you have here! How we desperately need moms and dads who will become filled with the desire to lead their families in the will of God!
Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is only something than an unbeliever can do. Mark 3:30 very clearly teaches how these unsaved religious leaders committed this sin "Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit." This was NOT just some statement that was casually said that these people didn't mean. This was a statement of what they ACTUALLY believed about Christ even with all the overwhelming evidence showing that Jesus was indeed the Son of God.
Thank you ugh I hate when they say Christian's can commit this sin if they walk away from God that's not the case here, an these pharisees didn't receive jesus so they had no relationship with jesus they were unbelievers because they did not believe in jesus,
I've spoken to a fair new teachers, lecturers regarding this issue it's a 2 part answer. It amounts to the rejection of Jesus. There's plenty of things i'm not sure about in the bible but this one i'm positive. Google "blasphemy rejection of christ". 2nd link down for both parts.
Hi Joe, It's not suicide. It's the rejection of Christ. As to enter the kingdom of heaven we just be born again. Therefore as an example if a Christian goes through a very tough time and life appears too much and commits suicide how would a born again, spirit filled christian end up in hell? God loves us and understands life's struggles.
The blaspheme is to deny/reject. The works of the Holy Spirit is to bring all men to Jesus, therefore...
Take care :)
This unpardonable sin idea made me so so ill. It took away nearly a decade of my young life.
Do you know what would be handy? If this was REMOVED and EXPLAINED properly, rather than ministers having to string together versus from there and there to explain it. I've heard 3-4 interpretations of this. If there is anyone else looking at this not sure and worrying.
THE ONLY UNFORGIVABLE SIN IS NOT NOT ACCEPT JESUS - SO STOP WORRYING AND ENJOY YOUR LIFE.
He is absolutely wrong , as Christians living in the last days some of us will be delivered up to Satan when Satan is cast down and controls the one world government and religion. At this time the Holy Spirit will speak thru some of these elect Christians to give testimony that no one can deny . If a Christian at this point denies the holy spirit to speak through them , then that Christian has committed the unpardonable sin .
I disagree with this video. If you're clear enough on the inside, you can see that some people have a living soul, and some don't. Those who don't have a living soul will be part of satans empire (hell). Man, really, God isn't cruel. A living soul can't disappear and can't be condemned to eternal pain. So it's a pointless discussion in my opinion. Sorry for that.
An Educational Note:
1. At the foot of the Commandments - in the Old Testament - was "pride, vanity & fear".
It was connected to "Atonement". (Ecclessastics).
2. The New Testament (God & Jesus Christ): God gave Jesus his name.
3. The Commandments are based on love (faith, hope & trust),
the Spiritual traits proclaiming, "God is Savour" as well as Creator.
All for One(1) God, his Commandments & his Promise of Everlasting Life,
A Perceptive & Spiritual Person
2. Biblical Note: Continued:
"Those who are born of the Spirit, born of God cannot sin."
We are whole by the healing emotions (spiritual traits) of "faith, hope, love & trust".
The basis, the foundation of God's Commandments are:
"Faith & Love". Why?
Because of our "trust", our "faith" through love in
One (1) God, his Commandments & his Promise of Everlasting Life.
An Educational Note:
At the foot of the commandments - in the Old Testament - was "pride, vanity & fear".
as in "Atonement"!
1. Biblical Note:
"The only "unpardonable sin" is to refuse to trust in Jesus Christ.
To trust is a "healing emotion" with faith & love.
So with "trust, faith & love" we are healed and made whole.
Without trust in Jesus we are not healed.
We're like a dog that returns to its vomit never healed.
2. Biblical Note:
1.God gave Jesus his name.
2. "Those who you are born of the Spirit, born of God cannot sin."
We are whole by the healing emotions of "faith, love & trust".
God is "all about relationship". What was lost, in this context, in the Garden, is what He is "in the business" of restoring! Our RELATIONSHIP with the triune Godhead is of a poor quality when we are living in sin, but remember... ALL our sins were future when Christ died & PAID FOR them. That means that the sins we commit tomorrow, next week, next year are also already forgiven. KNOWING this, having forgiveness as a present, ongoing possession how do you WANT to live?
What about these? Could you clarify these? There are actually 32 verses that say the same thing but here are a few. Mark 3:28-29
“Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”—
There are many more that pretty much say the same thing.
John G Unfortunately no one will answer this because they would have to change what they were teaching. As you brought up the correct scripture, it is about attributing what is our God's nature and who he is to someone else, say the antichrist. Anti means "something other than" or "in place of", so it would be calling someone the Christ other than who is the actual Savior and Judge of the world. Sadly this was not brought up and very important, especially concerning the times we are in. Discernment is so important.
True Christians don't wilfully sin.John in The Bible says "Those born of the seed of God do not sin"
Christians do not sin because (according to Paul) we live in the spirit and not in the flesh for living in the flesh is living into death but living in the Spirit is life.
If at all a Christian falls and dies, then their sins are still forgiven because they believed in the only name that delivers eternal life. But not if they commited wilful sin.Because there are sins we might at times commit without knowing or really understanding that they are sin because God is a Holy God.
In such a case a Christian is forgiven. But if they went off selling drugs and died in the process the. I think that's different.Dying in ours sins leads to judgement. But repentance is a daily affair and like the Holy Book said "Those born of the seed of God do not sin."
