Pratunam Market 2018 - Cheap Clothes Shopping in Bangkok ❤🇹🇭 Let´s walk through hundreds of fashion shops to buy cheap clothes. Location on Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/dtXLa5HLSzH2 Pratunam Market is a major market selling clothes, shoes, and fashion accessories at wholesale prices. Enter the small alleys and jam-packed small streets and you will find yourself in the middle of a clothes-maze. Prices are very cheap, and most shops offer retail prices for single pieces. Located at the intersection of Ratchaprop and Petchburi roads (next to Amari Watergate Hotel), Pratunam Wholesale Market is filled with shops and tiny stalls flowing over to the sidewalks and extending all the way to Baiyoke Towers I and Baiyoke Towers II on Ratchaprarop Soi 3. More than a shopping experience, the market offers an immersion in the local way of life – vendors working their sewing machines, packing and unpacking orders, carting trolleys up and down the narrow aisles, and shouting gossip at each other for lack of a better thing to do. It offers a stark glimpse into what shopping used to be like before air-conditioned malls. Shops and vendor stalls at Pratunam Market display all kinds of clothes, from shorts, T-shirts, formal evening dresses, suits, winter jackets to bizarre outfits and costumes. The section closer to Petchaburi Road has a large concentration of fancy dress and embroidered costumes (think sequins, feathers, and beads). Deeper in, closer to Baiyoke Tower I, the collection becomes less fancy but more suitable for everyday wear. Modern fashion, such as jeans, bikinis, funny T-shirts and safari pants are found in the aisles just opposite the entrance of Baiyoke Suite Hotel. Across from Pratunam Market, Baiyoke Tower I offers five floors of similar clothing and a good handful of shops selling accessories such as leather totes, belts, faux jewelry, women’s shoes and baseball caps. The building is air-conditioned, thus making it a nice escape from the midday heat. Good to know about Pratunam Market Pratunam Market – and wholesalers who come to get their supplies – targets lower- to lower-middle income buyers, and as with other outdoor markets in Bangkok, price reflects quality. Shops offer wholesale prices when you buy three pieces or more, although buying single pieces won’t cost you that much more. On top of that, bargaining is acceptable, though you barely need to – items are already very cheap. Some rules of thumb: No exchange, no trying on and no refund. When you see brand-name items, expect, at best, copies. The market itself is open 24 hours, but the dynamic is different throughout the day. Retail shops open at about 10:00 until 21:00, but again this may vary. For visitors and shoppers, the best time to go is between 11:00 and 20:00. Open: 24 hours (retail shops open from 10:00 - 21:00) Read more at: http://www.bangkok.com/pratunam/pratunam-wholesale-market.htm?cid=ch:OTH:001 Subscribe for bangkokandmore: https://goo.gl/ixAIuR #thaifood #thaistreetfood #streetfood #thaicuisine #foodie #bangkok #thailand #travel #food #bangkokandmore #thaitravel -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Curious how I can afford to live in Thailand? I choose this hotel because of the fabulous location in the middle of Bangkok nightlife. This place in the center between Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy, and directly above one of the biggest freelancer's spot - Thermae Bar. This hotel is guest friendly (no extra charge for girls) Starts from 30$. I payed $50 for my room ("Modern Chinese Corner Room" type on Agoda with "Pay in hotel" option). Hotel is new and clean. Excellent swimming pool on the roof, open 8a.m.-8p.m. Ruamchitt plaza have the high security level Better book in advance, hotel quite busy especially on high season This review is independent. Is MBK still a replica market? Make your own picture from all the brands and look closely if it´s a fake replica or not. I found this article online from November 2017 http://bk.asia-city.com/city-living/news/official-no-fakes-mbk The impossible has happened: you can no longer find fake designer goods at MBK. For some time now, we'd been hearing complaints from tourist friends saying that they couldn't find fake watches and designer bags at MBK, so went down to the home of cheap knock-off gear to see if it was true. After an hour scouring the familiar, strip-lit hallways on the G/F, 3/F and 6/F—always the best floors for an affordable Gucci—the only outright fake we came across was one B390 Supreme hoodie (pictured). "There are no more copied goods in MBK," one store manager (name withheld) at a Thai designer brand told us. "There are police officers walking around every day, sometimes even sitting around and waiting for the shops to take out their fake products." The staff in another store specializing in leather goods confirmed this. "The police officers have been checking almost every day for a little while now. You won't be able to find any of the fake designer bags anymore," she said. Though we couldn't find any direct designer bag copies, we spotted a few designer bag-look-a-likes. Some followed the look of signature Hermes bags, while another, designed to look like Gucci, carried the name "Gocci." "You will still see those kinds of products around, as long as they don't have the actual brand put on the product, it's fine," said the Thai brand store manager. MBK has long been the epicenter of Bangkok's counterfeit culture. Despite intellectual property laws in Thailand that stipulate up to four years in prison and a B400,000 fine for selling fake goods, a vast number of vendors at MBK have always openly sold products directly copying the look of big international brands. The news that the shopping center no longer provides a one-stop shop for Rolexes and Ralph Lauren Polos will come as a bitter blow to tourists everywhere. Bangkok Shopping. NEW THAILAND FOOD AND TRAVEL VIDEOS EVERY WEDNESDAY. Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/darrenb3. Bobae Market and Bobae Tower, the Cheapest Clothes Shopping in Bangkok Thailand. Bobae Market is famous for cheap clothing and is located in central Bangkok. The Bo Bae area offers two huge wholesale shopping areas – Bobae Market and Bobae Tower which are about a 5 minute walk apart. The area is open from 6:00am to 6:00pm daily, but you will see most activity in the early morning and many shops close in the afternoon. The best time to go is early morning and you’ll find Bobae Market on Krung Kasem Road near Yotse Bridge, in the Dusit area; Google Maps Coordinates: 13.753522, 100.515781 Generally the easiest way to get there is to take the BTS (sky train) to the National Stadium Station and then get a taxi from there. The taxi ride is around 10 minutes (depending on traffic) and will cost around 60 baht. Check our my recent video: Thai Food Guide: 10 Delicious Thai Foods You Should Eat in Thailand 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwgHstebGzs&index=75&list=PLNLfDOIkGB127MJHXT9LijgW9vatZ9KFk&t=25s The shops at Bobae are mainly wholesalers, many products are sold by the dozen or more, but there are stores that will sell individual items and others that have a minimum of 3 or 6. It isn’t really a tourist market but if you have a lot of bulk purchases to make you won’t find cheaper prices anywhere else in Bangkok. It’s a great place to buy cheap gifts for friends on your Bangkok shopping adventure! Bobae Tower, which is a short distance from the market, claims to have 1,300 stores under one roof and be the largest garment wholesale center in Thailand. There are 7 floors of shops there and it also houses a large carpark and the Prince Palace Hotel. There are more vendors at Bobae Tower that will sell small quantities than at the market, which mainly caters to resellers. Almost all the stall holders at both Bo Bae market and Bo Bae Tower will be able to arrange a shipping company that can export your goods for you. You’ll find all sorts of items at Bo Bae: men’s, women’s & children’s wear, denim & jeans, blouses, dresses & shirts, t-shirts, bras and underwear, baby clothes and everything else you might need for your infant (cots, prams & toys), traditional Thai and Asian design clothes, surf & skate wear, sportswear, lingerie, Disney and superheroes clothes, sweaters & jackets, shoes, jewelry, watches & clocks, travelware, electrical goods and fabrics and textiles. And if you’re hungry you’ll find Thai street food vendors and lots of restaurants in the area too. Bobae has it all, it's a great area to explore during your Bangkok vacations! Food vendors have been a constant presence in Bangkok – but thousands of them are now being chased off the streets thanks to a move by Thailand’s military government to ‘clean up’ the country. A report by Amos Roberts and Philipa Hutchison for SBS Dateline. Subscribe to Journeyman here: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=journeymanpictures For decades the noisy bustle of street vendors has filled the streets of Bangkok, but this could soon become a thing of the past. In a bid to “clean up” the city, the authorities have already cleared away thousands of vendors; at the same time a major riverfront development will see whole communities evicted. In one small community on the Chao Phraya River, local families are preparing for the day they’ll be moved away, to be replaced by a concrete promenade. “It’s like they want to wipe out the poor,” one woman says. Nana Plaza and Patpong - Bangkok Nightlife - VLOG 81 NB: Make sure to read the latest posts on bangkok112.com before you book a hotel in Bangkok or Pattaya. A VLOG from July 2016 taken at Nana Plaza and Patpong in Bangkok, Thailand. There is also some late night footage from Climax nightclub and Soi 11 near the end of the video. The parts of this video include: 0:00 On Nut to Nana BTS intro 1:07 Nana Plaza 7:19 Mototaxi ride from Nana Plaza to Patpong 9:44 Patpong Red Light District 19:16 McDonald's late night pit stop 20:25 Taxi to Soi 11 20:56 Climax Nightclub 23:16 Soi 11 late night, with some trouble brewing Additional Notes: Please leave a comment if you like longer vids like this one, or would rather watch shorter 12-15 minute videos. At Nana Plaza they now have a lot of promo girls at the front beckoning customers to specific bars. It makes for some nice eye candy on show if you sit at the front of the ground floor bars. Beer prices have started creeping down a bit early on in Nana Plaza as finally the bars are getting the message that no happy hour and 160+ baht drinks is not competitive. Especially with some Soi Cowoby happy hours being 80 baht a beer until 9pm, and some gogos being 110 baht all night. The Angelwitch dance routine is an interesting addition. I'm not sure what to make of it, especially some of the more big boned dancers strutting their stuff with masks on. The mototaxi ride from Nana Plaza to Patpong took 6 mins in total and cost 100 baht. It was a bit hairy as my driver was really gunning it on the empty straight road sections. At Patpong Bada Bing / Twilo bar was the best of the gogos I went to. Great lineup inside and 140 baht a beer. Every time I go it seems to be a good night and I would still recommend it as a must visit when in Patpong. Another bar in Patpong that is doing well is 'the strip' on Patpong soi 2. They have a weekend snake show and coupled with drink promotions and some nice looking girls are always busy whenever I drop in for a beer. The Pavillion Place is a hotel in the middle of Patpong. The rooms are a bit shabby but if you want all the nightlife on your doorstep then you can book a room here: http://www.agoda.com/the-pavilion-place/hotel/bangkok-th.htmlcid=1738634 On one of the Patpong shots where I filmed into a gogo bar from the market area I was hassled by some angry vendors demanding 10k baht to take a photo :) I had to make a hasty exit. The freelancer girl who asked me for 100 baht for food I felt sorry for her and gave her 50 in the end. The Kings Corner bar is all ladyboys. I tried to get a few shots but had a lady drink girl camped out on me at the time. Rain in the low season. Often it can rain or pour it down at this time of year anywhere in Thailand. On this night I got stuck with no umbrella so just had to go with the flow and stay in a bar waiting for the rain to subside. About the live music band at Patpong. Either they were having an off night, or I need my ears checking as they sounded mediocre at best and pretty much every band in Pattaya puts them to shame on this nights evidence. McDonald's. I was going to hit up Sunrise Taco's at the entrance to the nearby gay street but they closed early on this night. So I ordered a fast food burger that tasted much better than it looked! (I'm still alive at any rate) People sleeping in Thai public places. I'm always amazed at the ability of some Thai people to sleep almost anywhere. What is also amazing is that due to 'loss of face' and other cultural aspects they rarely kick out non paying customers from places like these. In the West a security guard would turf out these sleep easy freeloaders in a heartbeat. Taxi to Climax. My taxi was free as the driver gets a kickback of 100 baht per person delivered to the club (down from previous years of 250 baht kickback per person). Climax. It was too busy on this night, I could hardly move and the smell of cigarette smoke was overpowering. I had one drink and gave up. The President Palace hotel on Soi 11 was always my favourite place to stay when I used to holiday in Bangkok. To see the best places to stay on Soi 11 view this web post: http://bangkok112.com/bangkok-hotels-stay-near-sukhumvit-soi-11/ Trouble Brewing? Outside the Wax / Sugar hip hop nightclub there were some potential fisticuffs on the cards. It all was calmed down in the end, probably much to the benefit of the skinny guy. Shopping at Hua Mun Night Market. One of the best Bangkok local night market "hidden" from tourists. Fantastic night life destination to enjoy shopping clothes, cosmetics, accessories and a lot more. Not many tourists know about this market because it’s far from central Bangkok area, the inconvenience of public transport could be the major reasons. If you prefer to experience “local things to do in Bangkok” visiting Hua Mum Market is recommended. Please expect fewer communication skills in English compared to the tourist famous shopping places like Chatuchak Market etc. Local Thai woman loves shopping in the night market. Price is a lot cheaper than buying at the shopping mall. It only opens on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday night from 7 pm to midnight. Nightlife in Bangkok gets exciting with shopping at the night markets. It is definitely one of the “best things to do” in Bangkok for all tourists. Especially this Hua Mum market is not known for many tourists. Learning a few simple Thai phrase and throwing it to the shopkeepers might get you a discount on items. Every Thai in the market knows that negotiating the price is part of the fun in shopping. ☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ How to visit Hua Mum Market ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Access: Taxi or Motorcycle Taxi from MRT Ladprao or MRT Huaykhwang. Cost around 100 baht from the MRT stations to the market. A scene at the Indra Market or Indra Square in Bangkok near Pratunam area. Cheap shopping for anyone but frequented by mostly Asians and Russians. Good place to buy cheap stuff but not necessarily cheap quality. Few mannequins did attract my attention, some were headless, some were bust-less, some were injured others were fine...... "From Here and There" is a YouTube Video Channel in which I will be showcasing Videos from every day life for example - A trip in a foreign country, visits to famous tourist spots, some random chores, certain occasions, funny moments, nonsensical and everything else. As of 2013, December I am a Newbie, though I had posted one of my video long back but then I didn't knew the potential of You Tube.

Restaurants and shops. Pretty much like a normal shopping mall. We are regular customers of Central Bangna. There are more and more restaurants than in the past. Getting there There is a shuttle from Udom Suk BTS, take exit 5 and wait at the bus stop down the bridge. There are 2 shuttle buses to Megabangna and Central Plaza Bangna. Don't mix up. The Mall has gone through major renovations over the years, so it looks quite alright inside. It offers a typical set of brands and vendors as any other mall form this group (you’ve been to one, you’ve visited them all). Bangkok you crazy SOB. Crazy and bustling. A wonderful mix of the past trying to hold on in the corners of a very fast forwarding world. Arrived into Bangkok about 1 AM on January 13th, one day before my birthday. Technically two days American time as Thailand is 12 hours ahead of the US Eastern time. Luckily our first hotel was only 15 minutes from the airport and we passed out and slept until 1 PM the following day... first day in Bangkok was the learning curve. Our first tuk-tuk and massage experience we are pretty sure we got taken advantage of, but the prices were still good compared to in the US! Tho overpriced, my first experience with time aside it was excellent and I knew I was hooked. Bangkok is a huge city – And a very popular shopping hub. So we spent the day wandering around getting lost in the square footage of shopping, giant malls, and huge outside food markets. Driving is crazy- most people being on motorcycles or mopeds. Zooming around with very little regard for traffic laws or pedestrians. Babies holding on to their fathers or mothers whilst they speed around on streets unbothered by all of the other traffic and dangers. Helmets are not that popular, and we have literary seen 5 beings on one motorcycle. Women sidesaddle in skirts behind their boyfriends, while drinking bubble tea and texting. No fear. Wat Arun, Pratunam Market, Khao San Rd and many other adventures in the crazy city of Bangkok, Thailand. For more info, travel tips, and pictures from my time in Bangkok go to my blog post here: https://kimberlyvox.wixsite.com/voxvstheworld/single-post/2018/02/07/Vox-VS-Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand, Asia. View of corrugated iron rooftops, all packed closely together on the outskirts of a city. A small blue vehicle drives along the road. Views of the poor housing in a residential area. A colourful display of cut flowers is outside a florist's shop. Close ups of the blooms and garlands. People gather in a market. Three children look at the camera. A man wearing a pointed straw hat walks along carrying food in baskets suspended from a stick which he holds over his shoulder. At a road junction traffic turns in while cars wait at traffic lights on the other side. Another trader carries cleverly balanced brooms and brushes suspended from his shoulder stick and walks along the road. Pedestrians walk along the pavement as traffic passes. A man cycles along a quiet residential street. Food traders sit on the floor surrounded by baskets containing their wares. A small boy sits next to a stack of eggs looking up at camera. People walk past a flower shop with garlands hanging outside it. Close up of the blooms and the flowers arranged in baskets. A woman spoons some sort of batter out of a metal container into hot oil, making some sort of dumplings or similar. Further shots of traders sitting in the market amongst their baskets. A boy sits on a stool of wood and eats rise from an orange bowl with a spoon. A row of houses sit along the waterside. Pedestrians walk in front of shops with white fabric hanging from above the windows. A group of children stand around wooden stools and a table which are outside on the street and smile at the camera. They are preparing some sort of food. In a run down shanty town children walk past dilapidated houses. Ducks and chickens peck about in dirty puddles. A rickety wooden bridge leads across a stream to a house. Further street shots with children.

Can Ramon and I finish the GIANT Lobster Tom Yum food challenge!? ►Check out Ramon’s Channel: https://bit.ly/2K5SBvi ►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►T-shirts and caps available now: https://migrationology.com/store/ Talad Rot Fai Ratchada (ตลาดรถไฟรัชดา) - Also known as the train market, is one of the most popular night markets in Bangkok. It’s especially popular on the weekend when a younger crowd flocks to the market to eat the latest Thai street food trends, and hang out with friends. The train market has in recent months become famous for its giant food - you’ll find a number of giant Thai dishes to try like egg noodles, pork bone soup, and now the massive lobster tom yum - possibly the world’s biggest bowl of tom yum? Diaw Goong Rot Fai Restaurant (เตี๋ยวกุ้งรถไฟ) - This is the name of the restaurant, and when we ordered they started preparing the lobster. Giant Lobster Tom Yum (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวต้มยำโครตกุ้งมังกรยักษ์) - They serve it in a basin, like a mini bathtub, not even a bowl. And it’s HUGE. They layer in the fish, squid, mussels, shrimp, and finally a giant lobster goes on top, followed by all the tom yum soup broth. Honestly, the seafood isn’t the freshest or best quality, but you don’t really go to eat a bathtub of seafood for the quality - you go for the insaneness of it. Price - 2,800 THB ($89.27) Here are the other Thai street foods we tried on this tour: Seafood griddle cakes (ขนมครกทะเล) Price - 60 THB ($1.91) Green mango crab egg salad (ยำมะม่วงไข่ปูทะเล) Price - 150 THB ($4.78) Watermelon shake (แตงโมปั่น) Price - 60 THB ($1.91) Thanks again to Ramon for joining me on this Thai street food lobster tom yum food challenge! Bangkok, 17 June, 2015 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is once again staging an exciting “Shopping Challenge” on 17 June, 2015, to mark the opening of the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2015. The fun-filled event will see 15 teams of representatives from across Asia race around Bangkok’s best loved malls and shops to bargain for items as they compete for a 100,000 Baht prize. Mrs. Vilaiwan Twichasri, TAT’s Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business said, “The Shopping Challenge is a wonderful way to kick off the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale as it showcases the massive range of goods and products available in Bangkok, many of them uniquely Thai. The event attracts teams from all over the region, ensuring the nationwide sale enhances Thailand’s reputation as Southeast Asia’s shopping hub and lifestyle destination.” The Shopping Challenge takes place on 17 June from 13.00 - 17.00 hrs. with the opening and closing ceremonies held at the Gaysorn Shopping Center in the heart of Bangkok’s renowned Ratchaprasong shopping district. The 15 teams of 36 celebrities from 11 Asian nations are required to race around some of Bangkok’s most famous malls and shopping centres including, Gaysorn, Siam Paragon, Siam Centre, and CentralWorld, with the aim of finding the best bargains in the fastest time. In the Shopping Challenge, teams are given a 10,000 Baht budget, an interpreter and a list of goods to find in Ratchaprasong’s malls. The team that returns within the 1.5 hour timeframe, having found the items on their list, are declared the winners. In case of a tie-break, it is the team that spends the least which wins. This means contestants need to use bargaining skills to ensure success. Registration for the Shopping Challenge takes place from 13.00 - 14:00 hrs. before each team travels to Siam Paragon in especially designated tuk-tuks at 14.30 hrs. The teams have from 15.00 – 16.30 hrs. to complete the challenge and return to the Gaysorn Shopping Center where the winners are to be announced at 17:00 hrs. The Shopping Challenge was first held at the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale in 2009 when the Malaysian team took the first prize; and again in 2014 when a team from Beijing came out on top. The challenge has been popular among competitors and the public so organisers have brought it back to open the 2015 event. This year, teams from Brunei, Mumbai and Chengdu will be joining for the first time. The Amazing Thailand Grand Sale has grown year-on-year since it started in 1999, and is now the biggest event of its kind in the kingdom with 15,000 shops in 110 malls and shopping centres taking part and offering discounts of between 5 and 80 per cent on certain goods as well as other fun and money-saving promotions.
