Whey protein is actually a tremendous tool for those of you looking to lose weight. That’s why today, I am going to show you exactly how to use whey protein for weight loss. Here are the 7 best tips and steps for beginners. 1. Understand what whey protein actually is. Whey is the liquid part of milk that gets separated when cheese is made. If you’ve ever opened a yogurt container and have seen a watery substance at the top, this is whey protein. This liquid substance is what is turned into powder form to create whey protein. Just in case you’re wondering, this process also cuts out the 95% of the lactose so if you’re allergic to dairy, you really have nothing to fear. 2. Understand the different types of whey protein powder. There are three main forms of protein powder: whey concentrate, isolate, and hydrolestate. Concentrate is about 70-80% protein with some milk sugar and fat. Isolate is 90% protein and has a little less sugar and fat. Hydrolysate is also known as hydrolyzed whey, has virtually 0 sugar and fat, and is mixed with enzymes for the faster digestion into the blood stream. So, you may be wondering, does the type of protein matter? Not really. The minute differences between to two are not enough that it should cause you any stress or concern. Leave that sort of worrying for your overall diet and exercise routine. For what it’s worth, most of the studies are done using whey isolate and it’s what I use as well. 3. Understand why protein works so well for weight loss There are 3 reasons are particularly compelling… #1. It will keep you full. Protein can cut down sugar cravings by as much as 60%. #2. It’s easy. As long as you have a blender bottle on hand, all you need to do is add water. Which is great to have on the go or at work where eating healthy is more difficult. #3. It preserves lean muscle tissue when dropping weight. This ensures that when you do lose weight the majority of it is fat. We talk a lot about protein on this channel and this is just the short list of reasons why. 4. Whey protein has lots of other proven health benefits, which helps the body function better and makes weight loss easier. Things like: Improves muscle performance Lowers blood pressure Reduces symptoms of stress Helps you get in more water naturally And contains a small amount of antioxidants. Are additional reasons why whey protein is important and helpful for weight loss. 5. What are the best times to take whey protein? In order of importance. Take 30 minutes before or after your workouts. This has been shown to help with muscle development and recovery after a workout. Take 30 minutes before meals or dinning out. Usually the issue is two pronged with both their workouts and nutrition plan to blame for their lack of muscle size. In this video, I’m covering the mistakes made in the workouts and giving you a workout plan for skinny guys that will help you to start adding muscle to your frame without having to sacrifice your low body fat level you likely are starting with. In order to build muscle as a skinny guy you have to look yourself in the mirror and confront your fears first. I know it sounds odd but it is a common problem that sets the roadblock up, preventing you from making any progress. Many hardgainers will fear going to the gym because they don’t want to face the ridicule of the bigger guys around them. That has to stop today. In fact, you’d likely find that if you talked to the majority of these big muscle guys that they would admire your pursuit of change and might even sympathize with you having taken that journey themselves already. Once you get to the gym it’s time to start simplifying your workout plan. The biggest problem with skinny guys is that they try and to more rather than less. It’s an obvious mistake and one that I can see why people make so often. That said, if you are not enhanced and are a natural lifter, doing less is almost always the first step to take rather than trying more. That said, you want to pick just one exercise for each of the six major muscle groups in your body. These are your chest, back, shoulders, legs, and arms. The exercises you choose should be compound in nature and hit multiple muscles at one time. Not just that but these exercises allow you to gradually load up the weight over time as you get stronger. This is why you would pick a barbell curl instead of a concentration curl. Once you identify the exercises you are going to use (my suggestions are provided in the video) then you want to actually lower the weight you might be inclined to try and use. Remember, your discomfort in the gym might make you try and compensate by swinging around weights that you simply cannot command. Don’t do this. Instead, back down on the weight and make sure you can actually lift it with good form and own it. From here, the fun begins. Add weight to the bar on every exercise at every opportunity. Soon you will see that your muscles will grow almost before your eyes. You will gain confidence and you will see muscle growth that will inspire you to keep going. Your only goal at this point should be to be sure you are pushing yourself as hard as you can. Only when you get comfortable being uncomfortable will you see the gains continue to come at a rapid pace. All my life I've been the skinny guy. I've tried to gain muscle so many times you wouldn't believe it. I tried eating healthy and going to the gym. At some point I just stopped and accepted that my body was just not made for it. Now I know that no one is "made" for anything. Finally I was able to achieve my goals and become stronger than ever. The app helped me a lot as I didn't have a lot of experience learned the barbell movements with it through guided videos, my weights were increased automatically by its coach function and I was guided through every single workout. I couldn't have achieved what I did without it. ***UPDATE ON STARTING LIFTING NUMBERS*** I haven't actually done real 1RM tests in the beginning. These are just estimations based on the weights I trained with. I found a 1RM calculator online that said that it's pretty accurate up to 10 reps so I used its estimations. If I had known the technique better and if I had been able to push myself harder, I probably could have handled more weight but I was afraid to do the movements wrong and I found it kind of scary to use weights I am not sure I can handle - especially when it comes to bench press and squats. ***UPDATE ON NUTRITION*** I followed a very strict diet and without that, it would just not have been possible to change as drastically as I did. In general: I’m a pescetarian, that means, I don’t eat meat except for fish. I started with the Freeletics Nutrition Guide and applied the knowledge in a way that worked best for me. I will try to break it down to a few simple steps: 1) The key is finding what works best for you and then sticking to it: The first couple of weeks I only focussed on gaining weight as that has been my biggest struggle so far. High protein and high carb diet. Lot’s of fish and seafood. My calorie intake was up to about 4000kcal/day. After a while I realized that was too much as I was gaining fat as well and went down to a high protein moderate carb diet with a little more than 3000kcal which worked way better for me. My body developed the way I wanted it to and my performance went through the roof.. 2) No alcohol, no added sugar, no processed food at all. Real foods - that’s what is the basis for everyone. Don’t eat stuff you can’t pronounce. Just don’t do it. 3) It helps to track your calories and weigh your food. You need to know what you are eating as well as how much of it. It’s the same as for training: Doing the right exercises is the first step, programming it is the second. That's why the Freeletics Gym Coach worked for me. 4) Schedule your meals according to your day. Your body needs to be fueled with the right nutrients throughout the day and has special needs at certain times, i.e. I always ate a banana and drank a protein shake directly (15mins max) after training as the body needs carbs and proteins to regenerate and refuel. I also precooked my food for the whole day every morning. 5) Supplements: I took 5g of creatine and a protein shake right after each training. How to Get Vascular Arms (BIG & RIPPED!)

To start, you better plan on getting your nutrition in check. You see, big arms are great but you won’t see any vascularity if your arms are covered in layers of fat. In order to get those veins popping through your forearms and biceps you better get yourself down to less than ten percent body fat. Are you still with me? Good, because there is more you can do to improve your ability to get vascularity as well. One thing we know is that change in tissue temperature will make someone appear more or less vascular. In the winter when the ambient temperature is cold, your body will have a tendency to look less vascular. This is because your veins will sink further from the surface to stay closer to your warmer core temperature. When it’s hot out in the Summer, your veins will actually migrate closer to the surface to allow your body to transfer away some of the accumulated heat to better regulate your body’s temperature and prevent overheating. That said, contrast baths are an incredible way for training the ability of your veins to respond to things like increases in tissue temperature (whether it be ambient or from direct increase in the tissue itself). When you train with weights, the increased blood flow will temporarily increase the temperature of the muscles you are working. As the blood flows into the working muscle, the heat and redness (and vascularity) will increase. The degree to which this happens (and the length or sustainability of this long after training has ended) are mostly determined by the condition of the smooth muscle lining of the vessels and their ability to respond to the conditions. For instance, if your vessels are not as responsive as they could be you will never experience as big a pump as you should nor have the vascularity at low body fat levels that you should. This ability can be improved however by including some very high rep training into your arm workouts to ensure that you are challenging the ability of the vessels to expand and respond to your demands. If you never include super high rep training for your arms then you will want to start. I show you a 400 rep sequence using just a bar that hits your biceps and forearms in one killer sequence. This is scaleable for beginners and intermediate as well by performing 40 or 70 reps respectively of each of the exercises in this bigger more vascular arms circuit. Remember, the more frequently you include this type of training and the more dedicated you are to your nutrition the faster you will see the benefits of greater arm vascularity from this. Increase your pullups and build an athletic body here http://athleanx.com/x/more-pullups-and-a-ripped-body Pullups are one of the best bodyweight exercises that you can do to build a bigger back at home or at the gym. The problem is, the exercise can be very difficult to do many reps even for the most seasoned lifters. In this video, I show you the real reason why you can’t do pullups and it actually doesn’t have to do with your biceps not helping as much as they do on the chinup. The pullup is an exercise that works your back but happens to require a heavy involvement from the arms to do so. Most back exercises are similar in this regard. That said, when attempting to lift your own bodyweight against gravity, it becomes increasingly challenging. You may find however that by simply flipping your hands underhand that you can do way more chinups than you could of the overhand pullup variation. There is a good reason for this. In the pullup, your forearms (specifically your brachioradialis muscle) is required to contribute much more than it is in the chinup. This muscle, if not trained enough, can become your weak link in performing more reps of the pullup exercise. The brachioradialis is most active when the forearm is pronated when the elbow is flexed. If you think of the position of the arm during a pullup you will quickly realize that this is the exact position that you are in. In order to get better at doing pullups you will undoubtedly have to have more strength in your brachioradialis muscle. The best way to do this is with hammer curls, zottman curls, or reverse forearm curls. Each of these flex the elbow with the elbow in either a pronated or neutral position. If you are just starting out and don’t have good strength to do any of these variations however, you can curl the dumbbells up with a supinated grip to maximize the biceps and then rotate to a pronated position and lower (as in the zottman curl). Slowly build up your strength in these forearm exercises and you will find that your pullups will improve. Even if you can’t do one pullup right now, you can start to increase the number that you can do by working on this little worked arm and forearm muscle. The best way to do this is by including movements into your normal biceps or arms workout so you don’t have to do added days or volume. How To Get A Bigger Upper Chest In 15 Minutes

Build All Over Strength While Losing Fat: http://go2.sixpackshortcuts.com/SH2EN -- Hey guys, Henry and Clark here today to help you work on improving your upper chest because a lot of guys are lacking in that area. So today, we want to show you how to power through 3 sets of the best upper chest exercises and how we use them to our benefit. Today's workout: Incline Barbell Press: Lying on the bench (incline seat), position yourself with a naturally arched lower back. Try to pinch the shoulder blades together and push your chest up as you grab onto the bar, preferably with a wider grip. Once you have the bar in position, bring it down to your chest with elbows at a 45 degree angle away from the body (or more), and as you press it upward, think about squeezing your pecs to bring the weight back up. Incline Dumbbell Press: Sitting on the bench, position your dumbbells on your knees. Lie on the bench, and pop your knees up to your starting position by your chest. Position yourself with a naturally arched lower back. Some people like to go ahead and get the weights up, starting from arms extended, but you can also start with the pushing motion. Preferably with a wider grip. Once you have the dumbbells in position, bring them down to your chest with elbows at a 45 degree angle away from the body (or more), and as you press it upward, think about squeezing your pecs to bring the weight back up. Try not to clink the weights together at the top, and when you drop the dumbbells, don't let your arms flop down to the side to throw them on the ground. You could risk a pec or shoulder tear this way. Incline Chest Flyes w/Cables: Place your bench in between the cables, and grab each cable so that you can sit on the bench, holding them. It may be hard for you to get enough protein from your diet and supplementing with protein powder can definitely help you hit your Macros. It's also great to have after a workout and when you're on the go. There are so many different types of protein that I have a whole video specifically about protein powders that I'll link up at the end. But I really like whey protein because it's cheap it tastes good and your body is very efficient with it. My favorite brand is Optimum Nutrition 100% gold standard whey isolate. If you're lactose intolerant consider an egg-based protein powder instead. The Next supplement that works very well is creatine. Different people will experience different results with different types of creatine and there are a lot of different types. Monohydrate is pretty much the most basic form of creatine, probably the cheapest, and it happens to be the most studied. Creatine monohydrate has proven itself in study after study so it's a pretty safe bet to start with. There are many other types like kre akalybn for example that claim to reduce bloating and claim to eliminate the need to cycle off of creatine. However not one type of creatine has the kind of backing with scientific evidence that monohydrate has. My favorite creatine brand is probably the cheapest one. It's just plain Monohydrate from Now sports. I used to take cell tech hardcore when I used to bulk and it would always help me put on some weight. However this was like 5 years ago so they've probably change the formula by now and the old formula used to have tons of sugar in it. Like I said now if I take creatine it'll be the plain monohydrate from Now sports. Next up are your stimulants and your supplements that give you energy. Nitric oxide, caffeine, vitamin b, and beta alanine again that's all you need. Nitric oxide will help give you a great pump during your workouts and will also give you a bunch of energy and help you squeeze out those last couple reps. Beta alanine will decrease lactic acid build-up in your muscles during your sets. Which will allow you to recover faster between your sets. By decreasing fatigue beta alanine will also be another great tool to help you push out extra reps. The one side effect of beta alanine is that youll feel pins and needles when you first start taking it but it'll become less intense over time. Caffeine and vitamin B you can take anytime.

Today is all about boosting your metabolism to utilize body fat as your primary energy source. -- Video Breakdown: 0:53 - So let's get started with your pre-workout meal choice. My tip here is to try to not combine a protein and carb source as your pre workout meal. By doing this, you are making sure that your body is circulating blood to the muscles instead of to your digestive organs. 2:01 - The reason why I recommend guys to avoid eating protein and carbs together before working out is because the body can not efficiently break down these energy sources at the same time. 2:30 - This is why guys who eat big pre-workout meals tend to get a bloated, upset stomach during their training. 3:00 - What I strongly suggest guys to choose as their pre-workout food source is fruit. The energy from fruit is utilized rapidly. 3:40 - Now if you are in the gym and find yourself bored between sets, I've got a solution for you: stretching. 5:00 - What I recommend doing is stretching the antagonist muscle, or opposing muscle, to the body part you are training. If you are training triceps, stretch your biceps. If you are training back, stretch your chest... This will allow you to actually get a better contraction and pump during your working sets! 6:10 - Now, you can choose a high protein and high fat post workout meal, completely skipping the carbs, if you are looking to burn off body fat fast. 6:50 - And you are in luck because I'm going to show you a great, easy meal to eat after a workout: grass fed beef burgers. 8:04 - Here's how you can make this recipe: 1. Coat your stove top pan with coconut oil 2. In a mixing bowl, add the beef with Himalayan pink salt, turmeric and combine the ingredients into patties 3.
