Eye contact is extremely important and has a big impact on your level of success in social setting, relationships, but also in business. People who know how to maintain a friendly and confident, but not intimidating eye contact have a much higher chance to succeed in any walk of life. The ability to comfortably maintain direct eye contact is a trait of leaders and attractive, confident people. I made this video, because I know so many people who have problems with eye contact (especially maintaining direct eye contact for a long time). So many people get weirded out when looking into the other person's eyes. The problem is only augmented when the other person happens to be very attractive:) I am sharing with you a great eye contact trick that can be used anytime, anywhere and by anybody. It is extremely simple, but will make you feel more comfortable and you will appear more confident. I will also tell you about one of the biggest eye contact mistakes people make in the context of dealing with groups of people. I hope that you will find this video useful on your path to ultra confidence. Please let me know what you think in the comments below. How to get people to STEP UP and be accountable -- Leadership development tips

05:13
Get FREE leadership tips at http://drjohnizzo.com Have you ever though to yourself... "We need our people to step-up and be accountable"?    Here's some wisdom on ACCOUNTABILITY for you...   I talk to leaders everyday about creating a culture of accountability and a CONCEPT I call...   100 / 0   That's 100% responsibility. Zero excuses.     If you're heard me speak about leadership than you may be familiar with this concept already. I've had this conversation with companies like Microsoft, Dupont and Qantas.    What I've discovered is that leaders don't want their people to be ACCOUNTABLE.    What they really want is for their people to be 100% RESPONSIBLE.    It may sound like a subtle difference.   But, leaders like you, don't want to go around HOLDING people accountable all day long.     What you want, is for your employees to STEP-UP and take ownership... even when no-one is watching them.  Watch the video now.   In the comments below, we want to hear from you. What have you done to inspire a culture of 100% responsibility? Dr John Izzo is a keynote speaker on leadership, accountability, employee engagement and change management.

Leadership - Engage your Team - Create a Culture of Engagement

03:38
http://www.engage4results.com - Create a Culture of Engagement and learn how to find the Engagement Sweet Spot - Engagement is all about FEELINGS! As Carl Buechner said -- people will forget what you say; they'll forget what you do -- but they'll never forget how you made them feel. Engagement is the measure of the Team's Emotional Commitment to their leader and it's critically important for the bottom line. In America disengagement costs business over $350B a year and in Australia $45B! Gallup studies show only 30% of people are Actively Engaged despite all the attention on Engagement. Do you really know how engaged your people are? In the engagement surveys I conduct, the average business has about 50% Engaged AND Disengaged in total - This is a leaders first great opportunity! - The remaining 50% - sitting on the fence waiting for a leader to engage them...I call this, the leaders "Sweet Spot". An Actively Engaged team member is around 30% more productive than a fence sitter and retention is dramatically improved -- so it's essential that leaders work this sweet spot. A leader's second opportunity is the disengaged people -- or "Bad Apples" -- target them as well - help them adjust their attitudes, or help them find another job! Great leaders have Emotional Intelligence - but to really drive results and be exceptional - leaders need what I call EQ2 - Engagement Intelligence. EQ2 involves really understanding your people, finding their individual motivators and working on these "Hot Buttons" to improve morale, attitude and results. In my book "The People Pill" and in my engagement presentations we cover many strategies a leader can implement immediately - they cost virtually nothing and are guaranteed to make people feel great about themselves - which is the real secret to getting the best out of people and engaging them. Some of these strategies include.... - Five Minute Desk Chats......these are a way to show people you care about them ..."Mary, what's on for the weekend" - Sending out Personalised Handwritten Cards that recognize specific contributions, are timely & from the Heart - Morning Teas to Celebrate Progress & Success Stories - Holding a Breakfast of Champions to acknowledge effort - Pretend people have a banner on their forehead "Make Me Feel Special" Remember, people usually leave leaders not organizations and it's the line leader's responsibility for attitude and engagement! I recommend you measure your team engagement, and implement strategies like the ones above - focus on that sweet spot to bring everyone along and create a Culture of Engagement. It really will change your bottom line and retain - and attract - the best people! If you think of the best boss you ever had -- it'll be someone who helped you believe in yourself, cared about you, and developed and inspired you -- in other words -- they engaged you. Become a master of EQ2 and be the best boss YOUR team ever had! Ken is the founder of The Wright Coach and Engage4Results Pty Ltd, a business consulting and leadership development firm. Self-Confidence: How To Stop Worrying About What People Will Think Of You

Self-Confidence: How To Stop Worrying About What People Will Think Of You http://SocialConfidenceCenter.com Check out Dr. Aziz's new internet radio show! http://ShrinkForTheShyGuy.com You can also subscribe on iTunes: http://goo.gl/U5peQB Get Dr. Aziz's confidence building program here: http://ConfidenceUnleashedNow.com How scary or uncomfortable would it be to go start a conversation with a stranger? For most guys, starting conversations with strangers, especially attractive women is pretty anxiety provoking. That's why so many of them tend to avoid doing it. What makes starting conversations virtually impossible though is when you are held back by the "bystander effect." The Bystander Effect I am using this term differently from the social psychology use. You can watch the video above to learn about that meaning. It means something totally different when it comes to social confidence: The "bystander effect" is the fear that when you initiate a conversation with a stranger, if other people can see you or are within earshot, they will observe the interaction and harshly judge you. If you are in a bookstore or a coffee shop and you want to start a conversation with someone, if anyone else is around, it can make it WAY more difficult. What if they see me? What if they hear me and think I sound nervous or awkward? What if I get rejected, then they will think I'm a pathetic loser. They will think I'm... This is the essence of the bystander effect: "They will think I'm..." Can you see how this might be holding you back? What if you notice someone who has a similar interest as you and you want to chat with them about it? What if you are looking to make friends and build up your social network? What if you are single and looking to find a fun, sexy, smart girlfriend? The likelihood that this person will always be alone and that no one will be within earshot is pretty low. So as long as you are HELD BACK by the fear of what "they" might think of you, you will never be able to go after what you truly want. As your Confidence Coach, I will not let that stand! Let's talk about how to break free of this nonsense. How to hold more effective meetings on the phone

01:51
https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/2766227573749112577 Feedback - You Lose 60% When You Are Using the Phone Today we are creating a world in which you can live anywhere and work anywhere. With all the new technology, you can communicate and get things done a world away and still be effective. People work at home. People work anywhere. Yet. Yet, I am getting some real tough questions today from my clients. I don't feel comfortable on the phone, how do I work more effectively on the phone?" I am involved in so many meetings with so many people using the phone and I feel I am missing a great deal. Our organization is worldwide and we have regular meetings 2-3 times a week. I feel lost? I feel like I am missing something. I have to hold many of these meetings and I do not feel comfortable. I am now expected to do much work with my own players, both one on one and teams over the phone. The big question? Why does it feel strange? Is there something wrong with me? No. There is is nothing wrong with you. Over the past 5 years as more and more companies find this is an excellent way to save money, they are moving to doing it. But, no one is training the teams to be effective doing it. First you need to understand that You lose about 60% of your feedback when you do not have a person in the same room. You cannot watch their eyes. You cannot see their actions or their reactions. You cannot see if they are listening. You cannot see the body language. Your feedback has gone down tremendously. Some of us have been doing this for a long time and we understand how to read voice inflection and can pick up a great deal, but it is still hard. So what do you do? Phone work is the wave of the future. We can save so much time, energy and cost. But we need to be effective. Here are a few simple tips to start with. 1/ Start becoming a better listener A/ Listen to what is really being said. B/ Hear the attitude C/ Pay attention to the speed D/ Listen for impatience 2/ Be totally prepared for the meeting. 3/ Take good notes - don't do this while driving, you miss to much. 4/ If possible - record the meeting. Or have the organizer record it and make it available to all participants. 5/ Ask more questions. 6/ Ask for people to repeat stuff - just so those that missed can hear. 7 You repeat stuff to make sure it is getting through correctly. 8/ Get more input from others 9/ Stick to and stay on agenda and times. This is just the start, but it will help you a great deal with these meetings. Need more help. Give me a call and let's talk. 856 358 4021 Attend our webinar - How to be more effective on the phone. My name is Rebecca, and in today's lesson you'll learn how to participate effectively in a discussion in English, something you may need to do in your personal, professional, or academic life, okay? Now, the topic we'll use as our sample is this one: Is it better to study online or in a regular classroom? Okay? You'll have a chance to hear a discussion by native English speakers on this topic. What I'd like you to do is listen for any special expressions and phrases that they use during the discussion. Afterwards, I'll review the expressions and phrases with you, okay? Now, today I have some special friends who have agreed to help me with this lesson, and they're waiting in the classroom next door, so let's go and say hello to them. -- Hello! -- Hello! -- Hi! -- Hi! -- Well, look who's here. It's -- -- Ronnie. -- Alex. -- James. -- Adam. -- Thank you for joining me, and thanks for helping with this lesson, guys. -- No problem. -- No problem. -- So you know we're talking about discussions, and the topic is: Is it better to study online or in a regular classroom? Okay, who wants to go first? -- Okay, so I'll start, and I think that it's actually very good to study online because it's very convenient because you can study whenever you want and at your own pace. For example, someone like me, I like to study at nighttime. So for me, online works better because it's quiet at night, no one disturbs me, and I can do what I need to do. -- Okay, that's true, but if you're going to study online -- -- Sorry, but -- -- Please let me finish. Let me finish. As I was saying, that's true, but if you're studying online you do need to motivate yourself, so I think it's better to be in a classroom where you have other students and a teacher who can motivate you. -- That's true, but some people can't afford to go to a classroom and don't have enough money or resources to actually go to a big school. So studying online, you can actually do it for free. -- Me? Well, I would like to add -- May I say something? -- Sure. -- Soft skills. That's not usually talked about in schools, but when we talk about "soft skills", it's actual interaction, utilizing your English when you're with other people, and that's hard to get online because you're watching a screen and not actually interacting with other people. -- You make a very good point but I would also like to add that sometimes having classmates takes you away from your focus because you have to maybe review things many times for other people to catch up, or you have to do topics that are interesting to other people, not to yourself. So it's a little distracting sometimes, too. -- However, focus is a good thing. I mean, it's not a bad thing to repeat something because sometimes people don't catch the material the first time. So that way, you go over the material, and they -- you know, you get depth. So you get to learn more, and people who don't understand get the opportunity to ask questions and learn from it again. -- Yeah, but sometimes the resources that you get in a classroom are boring, and online you can just look up whatever you need on the Internet, and you've got it right there. You don't have to rely on a textbook. Sometimes it can be a bad textbook.

Shilpa Wymer's Top Tip's for PA's

05:29
Top 5 Tips of Highly Effective PA's Hello, my name is Shilpa Wymer and I am Principal of Pitman Training centres in London & Manchester. This podcast has been produced exclusively for SecsintheCity. At our centres, we've been helping people gain valuable office skills that can really help to change their lives and build futures. Every year I meet hundreds of people who are either working as PA's or who want to become one. So I'm privileged to have been able to identify the common themes that make for a highly effective PA. Let me begin by posing the question of what is the difference between a Secretary and a PA? The best description I've heard is this one: "A secretary is told what to do, whereas a PA tells the boss what to do" Does that sound bossy? Well they're not my words. They are those of a successful PA who works for a Director at a large company. However, I think she's right and her attitude is exactly what I'd expect from a successful PA -- one of absolute confidence. So, now we are clear on that, let's move on to my top 5 tips. 1. MAKE IT YOUR BUSINESS. From the outset it is imperative to ensure you gain a good knowledge of the business your boss is in and that you are in. When you start working at an organisation, hopefully they have an induction process. However, if they don't and you are just thrown in at the deep end, make it your business to get your own induction. By that I mean you'll need to ask plenty of questions to find out the following: o What does the business do? o Who are the clients of the business? o Who are the principle people in other departments o How do all the departments work together? 2. TAKE TWICE DAILY Your role is to manage your boss. To do that you need to communicate with them about what you are doing and what they are doing. Often executives get caught up in their day and forget about the PA who's holding it together back at the fort. So, top PA's know that from the outset they need to schedule two important meetings into the busy executive's diary. One is first thing in the morning and one last thing in the evening. 3. USE YOUR PHYSICAL SPACE TO CREATE AN IMPRESSIVE PRESENCE Your credibility is very important in this role and to establish yourself with everyone you meet make sure that when greeting people you stand up and move out from your desk, shake their hand and introduce yourself. This puts you firmly in control from the very beginning and gives the visitor the impression of someone who is extremely professional and welcoming. Your body language can increase the effectiveness of your communication, creating as much as 55 per cent of the perceived impact of your overall message. 4. STAY IN SCHOOL Make sure you're always ahead of the game by updating your IT skills. In today's fast paced world busy executives are too busy to work things out themselves. Make your life and theirs easier by training yourself to the highest level. You need to know how to create spectacular presentations, make reports look great and produce valuable data and charts from complex spreadsheets. These are the things that will not only make your boss look great but help you become an invaluable PA. If you are not using Microsoft Office to its fullest then book yourself on a course, and obviously I'd recommend coming to Pitman Training at High Holborn, Notting Hil or Manchester. 5. TWO WAY STREET The relationship between a director and their PA is a 2 way street and it is equally important for you to understand what you can expect from a good boss. Here are some basic things that good bosses know are important: • Treat their PA with respect • Ask them how they are each day • Invest in their personal and professional development. • Listen to them • Say 'thank you' • Realise that their PA has a life outside of work and accommodates these needs. They know that in return they will get an extremely loyal and hard working PA. • Keep their PA in the loop. Share their successes with them, again creating loyalty. If you feel your boss is not treating you in this way it's time to revaluate your working relationship. Stop being a martyr. Start by being clear about what you want and explain how they will benefit from this change in working style. Maybe, you could pin up this checklist as a poster in the office to remind both you and your boss of what's expected. If they don't change it's time to move on. I hope you've enjoyed this podcast. Keep an eye out on the secsintheCity blog for more from me. I wish you all the best in your careers. The copyright and content belongs to Holborn Training Ltd. www.holborntraining.co.uk

The Key To NOT Embarrass Yourself When Public Speaking:How To Improve Communication-Pt 5

03:54
How would you feel if you could speak in public WITHOUT worrying about embarrassing yourself and having the fear of failure? This would be a dream situation for most people, but you may be wondering if it's actually possible. I understand, if someone told me 2 years ago that I could speak in front of any group without the fear of rejection being the main thought on my mind, I would have been somewhat skeptical, but would have been intrigued to hear their information. Effective communication is a key attribute in successful people. Part 5 of this video series shows you how to avoid embarrassing yourself in front of an audience. This creates a lot of fear for most presenters and can be easily avoided. When you become comfortable speaking on any stage and overcome the fear of public speaking, you will be better positioned to achieve your potential. This 6 part video series shows you how to improve your communication and leadership qualities to build a foundation to becoming skilled in effective communication. When you're able to speak with confidence, you receive attention, opportunities and increase your income because your leadership qualities are on display and most people admire those that can speak with confidence and speak in public, overcoming the most common fear the fear of public speaking. If you're a manager, effective communication one of the most desired management skills because your employees are more likely to follow you and perform their tasks if you're able to clearly communicate it through effective communication. The best way of how to improve communication is to practice the techniques and strategies provided. It can be intimidating, but the more you practice, the easier speaking in public becomes. Eventually, your communication becomes effective and refined because there is no substitute for repetition and every time you practice your communication, you have an opportunity to receive feedback from prospective clients and find how to improve your communication. "Hey Lucas, I want to speak in public and lead a meeting, but I am afraid that I am going to embarrass myself." This is the number one question that I get, and we need to address this because this is what's holding people back. They are afraid that they're going to embarrass themselves in front of their co-workers, their workplace, the audience, and it really, it drives a lot of fear in them and I get that, but let's put that to rest, okay? Because if you embarrass yourself, let's say that you forget what you were saying, make a joke about it. When you make a joke about it, the audience is going to laugh along with you, and it cuts the tension, builds engagement, and the people in the audience, they are probably going to sit there and think of a time that they messed up when speaking in public, and you just keep moving forward. Embarrassing yourself is not the end of the world. I have embarrassed myself thousands of times, and it is absolutely no problem. These are learning opportunities. But let's get down to the real core because people tell me that they're afraid to embarrass themselves or look like a fool, or have the audience laugh at them. These are all surface-level fears. While we look at the real fear behind public speaking, it's the fear of rejection, of standing up in front of a large group and completely looking like a fool and being rejected by this audience. Now, this is what cuts deep, and we are biologically hardwired to avoid the fear of rejection. You look at where we came from the tribal days, hunters and gatherers, if you said something that was out of line, this could get you kicked out of the group and being kicked out of the group meant death. Now, fortunately we're not in a scenario like that anymore because saying something that doesn't fit in with mainstream ideas will actually probably get you a lot of publicity and get you a following of people that are anti-mainstream, so you know, let's sit there and just reduce that. But the other thing too is that fear of rejection; it's a very simple equation when speaking in public. Your audience has a specific need, and this is something I feel a lot of presenters do not do and that is respect the audience. Like you at home right now watching these videos, I truly respect you for spending the time to watch this and that's why I am delivering value. So when you're speaking in public, the audience has a very specific set of answers that they are looking for. They are looking for value to be provided. Your job is to deliver it, so before your presentation I would ask what is it that they are looking for? What specific goods must I include because you can have your speech written out, you can have your presentation all mapped out, but then if you're not addressing the questions that they want, it's not going to go well because you don't matter, the audience's needs matter.

Confidence Code - How To Truly Like Yourself

11:42
Increase your confidence by learning the two powerful secrets of lasting confidence. Get your copy of The Confidence Code Here: http://YourConfidenceCode.com/ I want to ask you a question about confidence... Do you like yourself? I mean do you REALLY like yourself? Not what you would tell others, and not what you pretend when you're around people. I mean deep down -- when it's just you and your mind at home at night. Do you accept yourself, feel proud of yourself? Do you like who you are? Or are you down on yourself, harsh and critical with yourself, insecure, and constantly comparing yourself to others? When you have a conversation with someone do you feel TENSE in your body, worried about what you'll say next? If you see a group of people talking and laughing do you feel stuck on the outside, like you could NEVER be a part of a group like that? When you see a couple walking down the street, holding hands, do you look longingly at them, wishing that YOU had the confidence to be holding hands with a woman like that? Maybe you've TRIED to make some of these things happen You decided to "white knucle it" and forced yourself to make more small talk, to try and meet some people. You may have even forced yourself to talk to women, but all of that pressure DIDN'T make things any better. You are still stuck in shyness and social anxiety and still don't feel very confident in yourself and still don't like yourself very much. Maybe you are tired of beating your head against the wall, and you WANT better relationships, and more friends. You WANT to go on dates and find a girlfriend. Most of all, you want to feel like you DESERVE more things in life -- more money, more love, better treatment. You want all these things, but you aren't sure how to get them. The 2 Pieces Of The Confidence Puzzle There is so much information out there about how to feel more confident, and how to like yourself more. I myself have learned and tried out dozens of things. But after doing this work for a decade, I've discovered that there are just 2 things you really need to get to transform your confidence. These two things are like the secret underlying code that, when you combine them, they create a deep sense of lasting confidence. What are these two elements of the code? Rock Solid Self-Esteem Decent Social Skills That's it. Self-esteem is by far THE MOST IMPORTANT part of any feeling of confidence in yourself. High self esteem means you like yourself, you approve of who you are, and you are on your own side no matter what. You support yourself, you are proud of who you are and what you can do, and you accept yourself no matter what. Imagine how that would feel if you woke up in the morning and you LIKED yourself? If you were excited about who you are and what you're doing in the world? For some high self esteem is enough -- BUT I've discovered that there is one more piece to the puzzle... You also need to develop your social skills. Whether it's starting a conversation, making small talk, making friends, or asking a woman out -- each of those is a specific SKILL SET that you can learn. It's not rocket science, it's not some strange mystery, it's really just a basic understanding of what to do in each of those situations. The Confidence Code So how to do you learn these skills? How do you get rock solid self-esteem? In my new program -- The Confidence Code -- you will learn the exact steps to changing your self-esteem forever. If you've ever tried to change the way you feel about yourself, you probably discovered that it's no easy. You might have tried affirmations or to "think positively" only to find that it didn't really last. That's because you have to learn how to change your self-esteem using techniques to change your feelings, your subconscious beliefs, and your core beliefs. In The Confidence Code, I go in depth and teach you EXACTLY how to do just that. Through a series of DVD training sessions, you will learn what stops you from having the self-esteem you want, and then you will master 3 of the most POWERFUL self-esteem building techniques I've discovered from over a decade of research in this area. What's the Right Amount of Eye Contact?

02:52
Do you look people in the eye in an attempt to seem more persuasive or genuine? Well move those peepers around a bit, 'cause you're freaking people out! Anthony looks at what the right amount of eye contact is during a conversation. Read More: Eye Contact May Make People More Resistant to Persuasion http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/10/131002092629.htm "Making eye contact has long been considered an effective way of drawing a listener in and bringing him or her around to your point of view. But new research shows that eye contact may actually make people more resistant to persuasion, especially when they already disagree. The new findings are published in Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science." Attention to Eye Contact in the West and East: Autonomic Responses and Evaluative Ratings http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0059312 "Eye contact has a fundamental role in human social interaction. The special appearance of the human eye (i.e., white sclera contrasted with a coloured iris) implies the importance of detecting another person's face through eye contact. Empirical studies have demonstrated that faces making eye contact are detected quickly and processed preferentially (i.e., the eye contact effect)." Social Communication Impairs Working-Memory Performance http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/09084282.2012.685134#.UkxyJWSapOg "Performance on working-memory tests is frequently used in experimental psychology and neuroscience, as well as in neuropsychological testing and clinical screening. It can be strongly affected by the social context and the communication style of the experimenter." To Look or Not To Look? : Eye Contact Differences in Different Cultures http://www.examiner.com/article/to-look-or-not-to-look-eye-contact-differences-different-cultures "The eyes are an integral part of the face when it comes to observing or conveying non-verbal information. Just Look Me in the Eye Already http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324809804578511290822228174.html "You're having a conversation with someone and suddenly his eyes drop to his smartphone or drift over your shoulder toward someone else. It feels like this is happening more than ever—in meetings, at the dinner table, even at intimate cocktail parties—and there are signs that the decline of eye contact is a growing problem." How to Make & Keep a Poker Face | Poker Tutorials

Like these Gambling Lessons !!! Check out the official app http://apple.co/1HCxrup Watch more How to Play Poker videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/514998-How-to-Make-and-Keep-a-Poker-Face-Poker-Tutorials Hey, I'm Nicky Numbers, Professional Poker Player, and now I'm going to help you learn how to make and keep a good poker face. Now, a poker face is kind of a general term for stoic behavior at the table giving your opponents the minimal amount of behavioral information possible. The idea is that your behaviors may give away something about your holdings. In poker we call that a "tell". Well, you want to keep your opponents from potentially getting tells off you. And the way you accomplish that is by minimizing the amount of behavioral information you're giving off. The best way to do that is to have a routine. So you're dealt two cards. Cards come to you. Your pre-flop routine involves when you look at your cards. Do you look at them right away? Or do you wait until your turn? First you have to decide that. Then, how do you protect your cards? Do you hold them the entire hand? Or do you cap them? If you cap them, do you use chip or do you use a card capper? If you use a chip, do you just use one chip or do you use more than one? No matter what you're doing, you want to be consistent. So for example. A good pre-flop routine might be hold my cards next to my chest when I'm dealt them. Watch the action. Wait until it's my turn, then look down at my cards using both hands, revealing the cards the least. Then if I'm going to fold, fold. Otherwise if I look down and I'm going to continue in the hand, then I cap my cards and I state my action. Call. Then I put in the call chips. Or raise, and then I say the amount I want to make it. Either way I'm getting dealt my cards, I'm holding them there, I'm not looking until it's my turn, then I'm capping them, then I'm acting. And when you make a bet, it's important that you do it in the same way. So if you're betting sloppy versus if you're betting neat, that makes a very big difference. You want to be consistent. You should literally be able to write down your routines at the table. Your pre-flop routine when you first get dealt your cards, the actions that you take, and the order in which you take them, You want to be as robotic as possible so that you really are giving away the minimum amount of behavioral information. Now, once the cards come out and you're post-flop, you also want to have a routine. For example, how you sit. Do you sit with your hands like this, folded? Do you sit like this? Do you sit behind your chips, in front of your chips? Where are your arms? At any point in hand after you've acted, you want to have a very comfortable routine. You want to be sitting in a way that you can maintain because potentially your opponents may be looking at you for long periods of time while they're trying to make a decision and you want to be giving away the minimum amount while they're doing that. So putting a hand on your head, holding your head. You know, sitting in some easy replicable position consistently, whatever it may be. The key is that you have one and that you're acting consistently. If you act the same way pre-flop when you're being dealt cards and then the same way after you act when you're choosing to continue in the hand, and then you also act the same way post-flop, on the flop, turn and river, you're going to be giving away the minimum amount of non-poker information to your opponents. And that's exactly what you want to be doing to make and keep a poker face throughout the entire hand.

Free Team Building Icebreaker Tip - The Coin Game

Another great icebreaker activity is the Coin Game. You get a whole bunch of coins, and pass them out among the group. Everyone has to look at the date on their coin, and tell the group what they were doing that year. Some coins will pre-date the person holding them, so they have to use their knowledge of history to come up with some significant event from that year. You'll have a whole lot of fun and learn some interesting and sometimes off-the-wall information about the other person! How a lack of eye contact could actually mean he/she is interested in you

03:05
I know that sounds crazy, but it could be that this person is so shy that he doesn't want you to know that he has a crush on your. So, instead of giving you more attention, he might actually give you less. So, you have to build his confidence by talking to him a little more and a little more. That way, he realizes that you really are interested in him, and at that point he will approach you more and initiate conversation.

3 Steps to Figuring Out Resistance for Success - Business Coaching Tips from TheBigFactor.com

04:04
TheBigFactor.com with Lynan Saperstein Small Biz Coaching Tips - You Won't Find Anywhere Else! ****Subscribe to TheBigFactorTV channel for MOTIVATION every Monday!**** http://www.youtube.com/TheBigFactorTV This week we're talking about resistance - resistance where other people are resisting your success or you are internally resisting your success. Some symptoms of resistance include the following: • Procrastination: when you're just not doing things or not completing things or simply putting them off. This includes chronic procrastinators and people who don't traditionally procrastinate but are starting to now. • Complaining: about tasks, meetings, or clients you have to see. You find that you're making excuses about why you can't complete these things or take these meetings. • Frustration: you're getting annoyed about the things you have to do or the things that are coming into your life, your business. So what can you do about the resistance that is holding you back? Here's 3 steps to help you break through to your BIG dreams. 1. Awareness: The first step to breaking down resistance is awareness of when it is happening. Start to see where you're fighting success and pushing it back. Where are you saying NO to success? Where are you sending mixed messages to the universe? 2. Do what you love: A second action step is to start focusing on the things that you love. Stop thinking in the negative area where things are frustrating but rather stay in the space where you're doing what you love. Make it your idea! Remember, this is your BIG dream for yourself and your business. Simply say, this is what I want so I'm just going to do it with love and positive energy. Make yourself joyful. The third step is more internal, more in-depth. Resistance that you're putting on yourself is a very deep, potentially dark emotion that can control your entire existence. It can hold back your success, money, reputation, and even feeling the success you already have! 3. Stop fighting: Waive the white flag with success. Create peace around your success. Some things to try: journaling or writing a letter to success can help with this process. Explain the ways you're going to open yourself to your success! Have a fantastic week! I wish you all so much success and peace with that success. Let down your guard. Let down your resistance to your BIG dream becoming your BIG reality! I know you can do this! I know it is hard but you are more than capable and it will open a world of opportunity for you! City Clerk Dean Iorfida Supports Marineland

02:07
In 2011, City Officials and By Law Officers also claimed that holding signs and leafleting was "illegal" - we stood our ground and stated our Charter Rights. John Holer threatened to kill a demonstrator (on film) - we stood our ground. In 2012 The City of Niagara Falls (after many meetings with John Holer and Niagara Regional Police) declared land we demonstrated on a "surplus" (meaning the public does not use it) and leased it to Marineland. In 2013 Without a permit, Marineland constructed a 6 foot high fence with razor-sharp barbs on top. When questioned, the Niagara Falls Bylaw Office deemed it was a "legal fence" and it "does not need a permit" To Dean Iorfida & the Niagara Falls City Council: For refusing to enforce laws and bylaws on Marineland or John Holer, & Denying that 47 families were evicted by John Holer... "Dean was involved with the following; Sect 99.1 of the municipal act gave the city of Niagara Falls authority to stop the eviction. John Holer threatened to sue the city if they enacted it. Dean and his committee recommended that council allow the eviction. The city of Niagara Falls could of protected these families." SHAME!

Sinkhole turned tourist attraction in Robbinsdale

02:12
After giant sinkhole appeared in Robbinsdale, some local businesses are holding their breath, wondering how the mess will impact their profits. On Saturday a tri-city water main serving Crystal, New Hope and Golden Valley burst, causing the sinkhole on 42nd Avenue North, just west of Bottineau Boulevard. At 15 to 20 feet deep and 60 feet wide, the sinkhole has shut down several roads in the area. Local businesses, however, are hoping it won't also shut down their registers. So what affect has it had on area business? "Actually it's been slow, this has been a real curiosity things for people, nobody knows how to get in, but we do have access to the store, and we're open for business" says Debbie Ledin, manager of Pilgrim Cleaners. While Ledin's business has a front-row seat at the sinkhole, situated at the corner of 42nd and County Road 81, she hopes repairs are completed quickly, as accessing her store is difficult given the road closures in the area. Over at Hackenmueller Meats, business has been slow since the sinkhole opened up. "It hurt business. I figured I lost almost 300 customers that Saturday," says owner Gordy Lindenfelser. But Lindenfelser is hoping that business will pick up as shoppers come in to buy supplies to grill over the 4th of July holiday. Lindenfelser added that in his 30-plus years of owning the store, a similar situation occurred when road repairs took place in Robbinsdale a few years ago. "Well they had the road construction up here, and that was just as bad if not worse, and that was in the winter. So we can survive something, if we survived that we should be able to survive," Lindenfelser said. And some business' say they have actually seen a spike in their profits. Birdtown Café co-owner Jackie Eagles says that as people have been without power, they have been flocking to her eatery for a hot home-cooked meal. "Actually its been great for business, I'll be honest. It's unfortunate for everybody that lives in town, but for us with all the traffic that's been going by its actually helped business," Eagles said. Some businesses are even trying to use the sinkhole to their advantage. Pilgrim Cleaners has adopted a clever marketing strategy in hopes of luring customers, advertising a "Sinkhole Special" deal. "We're having a 25 percent off all dry cleaning sinkhole special, through the construction," says Ledin. Carissa Wyant, 12 News http://www.ccxmedia.org/ https://www.facebook.com/ccxmedia.org/ http://twitter.com/ccxnews 12 News is on Comcast cable channel 12 in the northwest suburbs of Minneapolis and includes the cities Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, Maple Grove, New Hope, Osseo, Plymouth and Robbinsdale.

Recognizing, Clarifying and Facing Fear

04:58
http://www.OfficeDynamics.com Fear can prevent you from progressing in your career and in your personal life. It prevents you from opening up to experiences which could be rewarding. It hampers your receptivity as an individual. It has a way of becoming a "monster" if you let it fester because the more you think about the thing you fear doing, the worse it seems. When fear stands in the way of you becoming all you can be, make it work for you, not against you. Joan Burge, author and professional speaker, will show you how to clearly identify your fears and teach you specific steps to conquering fear. Mark henry pulls 2 tractor trailers !!

05:15
Mark Henry tried to to break the world record recorded earlier today by pulling a tractor trailer truck. Apparently, he did it. Later tonight, I will attempt this same feat with my car. I will use a key and gas pedal, though. Actually, Henry's earlier footage featured one tractor trailer. He tried to pull two, which is supposedly a world record. Amazingly, it was a really cool segment and the crowd cheered for Henry. There was a big pop for "That's What I Do."

How To Kickstart Your Career In Event Planning

11:33
Get Free Event Planning Tips at: ‪http://www.eventplanningblueprint.com The hardest networking you'll ever have to do is when you're marketing yourself, especially when you're first getting started. This means you have to be ready to talk about your company 24/7. You have to put yourself in the spotlight without sounding like you're holding a megaphone in front of someone's face screaming for business. Your neighbor may mention his niece's bar mitzvah is coming up. The woman you always talk to at the gym might make a comment about her company's annual fundraiser. Talk to your friends. Talk to clients. Find your common ground with them to open new doors. Walk into businesses. Join the Chamber of Commerce. Attend business expos. Smile. Shake hands. Make those introductions. You'll probably feel like a political candidate sans the baby kissing! But all of those little informal meetings will lead you to that a-ha! moment when someone you're working those connections with says, "Hey! We were just talking about planning a luncheon for our clients" or "My company doesn't have any events coming up right now but I just got engaged and need someone to plan my wedding." Networking is the easiest, cheapest, best, even fun way to drum up business. Every introduction you make could lead to new clients so don't ever stop working those connections and knocking on those doors. I recently talked about networking with Alex Durant of Durant Consulting. As someone who's been chosen to work with Food Network's Wine and Food Festival in both South Beach and New York, she knows a thing or two about making those connections and working them to her advantage! Watch the conversation and then share your networking strategy in the comments.
