Obviously it's to work the biceps. Now with the bar, you have different choices. There's an easy curl bar, which is the zig zag bar. Or you can use the straight bar. Both are just as efficient as the other. So, to start out with this exercise, what you wanna do; always start with your base, your feet. Make sure they, your knees are nice and loose, not locked out. And make sure that your arms are nice and loose, not locked out. And what I mean by locked out is you never wanna lock your elbow out, cause that could damage the joint. You always keep a soft elbow, slightly bent, no matter what, through your entire rep, and the entire set. So during this exercise, the hard part, the positive part; is coming up, squeeze, come back down through the negative. Always want to keep control of this exercise. You see a lot of guys with bad habits, throwing the bar up, letting the bar drop; doing nothing for themselves. So, the more concentrated you are on the bicep, the better results you are gonna get. So its up, squeeze. Back down. Notice my elbows are not coming all the way forward. You don't want to have to be picking up your arm like this. Cause then your are taking away from the bicep work. Its elbows remain locked in place. Bier side, come up squeeze, control back down. Control the negative. Breathing wise, when you get really taxed, you wanna make sure that you are breathing through the, all of your exercise. So you always breath out during the hard part, when you are working against gravity. So it's up, breathe out. Remember to squeeze that bicep at the top. Inhale on the way down. Come up squeeze, inhale on the way down. And that's your basic bicep exercise. Basic straight barbell curl.

This is Max Tapper again for Howcast. Today, I'm going to show you guys how to do a squat. Yes! The squat is one of those awesome, full body exercises that targets your legs, your abdominals, even your upper body muscles, and I'm going to show you how to do it. Initially, what we're looking for is to get on the bar and get this bar on our traps, right around here, exact position. Now, we're going to press up. Now, slow and controlled, we're going to lower that weight down, and our initial motion should be butt, back, and sit, like we're sitting in a chair. Squat, back, pause, up. All right? Squat, back, pause at the bottom, and up. One more time. Slow on the way down. Squat, back, pause, and up. Let me show you from the side because there's some very important things that we need to do in the squat. Initially, our body position needs to be here. First motion is back. It's never this. That's what a lot of people do in a squat, and they do it wrong because they put their weight on their toes. It goes into their knees. What we want you to do is sit back, stand on your heels, butt back, like you're sitting on a chair. Squat, back, pause, slowly up. Squat, back, pause, slowly up. That is the proper way to do a squat. Now, get out there, challenge yourself, again guys, use a weight that you can definitely control. The rep range you want to be in is about 12. Use a weight you can control, get out there, be safe, and have a good time.

According to Wikipedia: Can't Buy a Thrill is the first album by Steely Dan, released in 1972. It peaked at #17 on the Billboard chart[4] and has been certified gold (1973) and platinum (1993) in the U.S. In 2003, the album was ranked number 238 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.[5] The album was originally released in two-channel stereo and also in a special four-channel quadrophonic mix. There are some significant musical differences between the two mixes, such as extra lead guitar fills in the quad mix of "Reelin' in the Years". The album cover features a line of prostitutes standing in a red light area waiting for clients, an image which was chosen because of its relevance to the album title.[6] The cover was banned in Francisco Franco's Spain and was replaced with a photograph of the band playing in concert. The title is taken from a lyric in the Bob Dylan song "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry" on Highway 61 Revisited.[7] Walter Becker and Donald Fagen themselves commented on the album art in their liner notes to the reissued The Royal Scam, saying that album possessed "the most hideous album cover of the seventies, bar none (excepting perhaps Can't Buy a Thrill)." Two songs recorded during the Can't Buy a Thrill sessions were left off the album and released as a single ("Dallas" and "Sail the Waterway"). This is the only Steely Dan album to include David Palmer as a lead vocalist, having been recruited after Donald Fagen expressed concerns over singing live. Drummer Jim Hodder also chips in lead vocals on one song, as well as singing the "Dallas" single. By the time recording of the next album began, the band and producer Gary Katz had convinced Fagen to assume the full lead vocalist role. A stray puppy, 2-3 weeks old, was found on the streets of Kerr Serigne and taken to the surgery with it's mother. The other 4 puppies of the litter had died already. On examination of it's body there are 100s of maggots found drilled into the skin, mainly in the paws. The worms were removed in fractions, the puppy was treated for it's infections and got some s.c. fluids. It passed away 12h after the procedure. Spay and neuter! A topic we love (as women) to hate...or maybe just not talk about it out loud, and SQUEEZE into those jeans pretending there's "nothing" spilling over the edge! :) YES! We've been there, done that...and every day it's a battle of restraint, endurance, and plain old self-control! :) Our bodies go through this massive change during pregnancy. Yes, we think it's cute to take those pregnancy pictures while our bellies grow...yes, we may even post them publicly on-line for the whole world to see. And then we give birth. Do you notice the lack of pictures of nude bellies AFTER giving birth?? WE KNOW!! :) See, you know what we mean! (As a disclaimer, I took one last picture the weekend before giving birth to The Kid, and it just wasn't pretty in the slightest! It might have been my gigantic ankles, the crazy roundness, or the Dove ice cream bar dripping down my shirt onto my belly. Yep, amazingly beautiful!! LOL!) So, how do we fight the poundage that remains on our bodies as the aftermath of pregnancy? Do we fight in the first place? And when we reach the "end of our rope" in regards to our weight, what on earth do we do? I want to see how far i can go with my fitness as time passes. Just shot this video to show that ive added a good amount of size and shredded off alot of fat since i started training. I began at 5'9 218lbs in December of 2010 with a (caliper measured) body fat % of 22. I tried to add some size and reduce alot of the fat i carried. I worked down to 5'9 168lbs and 8% body fat. From there ive been trying to steadily build my strength and inevitably my size with continuous results since.

Wake-up- Protein Shake Exercise- Burn 1,000-2,000 calories Post Workout- Protein Shake No food until 4:00pm, you can drink as much water as you wish and have another protein shake if you're a pussy (only 1 serving). A brisk walk can burn calories, not much but it's something. Do that and have a protein shake after, then get back to work for the "MAN". Finish off your exercise after work obtaining the 1,000-2,000 calorie mark, then eat clean food like a fat ass until 10pm. If you can't exercise during lunch, simply do your full workout after work. If you can't find time to exercise, then you're set to be a fat ass for the rest of your life. Nah but seriously, you can still lose weight by having a caloric deficit each day. Calculate your MBR: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/, and count your calories. ----------------------------------- My OLD DIET ROUTINE (I don't recommend it, use the newer routine. The problem with this routine is you will lose muscle due to the lack of protein. You will lose weight really fast, but you'll lose a lot of muscle!) 30 days start weight = 242 end weight = 218 diet/routine juice = carrot, celery, beet, aaple + misc fruits. juice made using a juicer (organic produce recommended) you want to make enough juice for breakfast and lunch in the morning (about 6 cups) 8:00am breakfast = 1-2 cups of juice (about 100-200 calories) 10:30am exercise 12:30+ finish exercise -goal, 2000 calorie burn. -calorie burn estimated via polar heart rate monitor/calorie count 1:00pm lunch 1 quart of juice (4 cups 300-400 calories) 2:00pm-3:00pm 1 strong coffee, espresso. (without sugar and milk 0 calories) (with sugar and milk, about 200 calories) note: make coffee strong. caffeine is an appetite suppressant, you shouldn't be hungry until dinner. in-between 2:00-3:00 - 6:00-6:30, snack is allowed of 100 calories (ie one fruit: apple is about 100 calories) 6:30-8:00 dinner 500-2000 calories (must not exceed 2000 calories, but shit happens) note: drink as much water as you'd like, to keep hydrated. ----------------------------------- Intermittent fasting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermittent_fasting Intermittent fasting (IF) is a pattern of eating that alternates between periods of fasting (usually meaning consumption of water only) and non-fasting.
